SUPERBOWL SUNDAY 2.09.25 Ian/Lauren (GO BIRDS!!!)
Manager Communication:
Carly and I opened up the building with little to report. I came in early to make some Espresso Martini and simple syrup for eventual batching later today.
Dogman continues its reign of terror - lots of kids in the building, lots of tired parents. Otherwise a very sleepy day.
Lauren is sick, so there is no closing bar manager. Per discussion with Gus and Lauren, Jared, Dee and James, who felt comfortable with my absence given the low business levels, I got out right at 6:20 so I could watch my Birds in the Superbowl (but watched it at Trees, so if anything went haywire I wasn't far). - IP

Two young women attempted to buy tickets to the 2p screening of "One of Them Days" at 2:24 - Bryan politely informed them of our 15 minute post start time cut-off, and they were incredulous. I happened to be at Lobby bar, so when they asked to speak to a supervisor, I took over. At this point they were recording themselves on their phones and asked for my name. I explained to them why we have the rules in place that they do, and one of the women said thank you and that they weren't aware of how things work at Nitehawk. As I left the interaction, I heard them mutter "Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. I think they could have helped us but wouldn't". I suspect this might be an email or something - but all policies were followed to a T and we, as a staff, were patient and polite. - IP
BAR Staff Observations:
BAR Staff Observations:
Natasha is a beast, as echoed in this blog all the time. Bryan is no slouch either! Totally smooth and easy opening of some busy rounds. Greg came in at 12 and swung right up to Trees to help with Sundays on Fire. Patrick got in and then we ran with 2 and 2 until Darius got in, when I cut Bryan and then Natasha shortly thereafter. Darius, Greg, Patrick and Jeshua were well set up for the evening by the time I got outta here.

Monica is also a beast. And always with such a lovely demeanor. Siete was on their game today too. Good job all around. - IP

Sundays on Fire and Wallace and Gromit both had good crowds and Nat crushed both. Greg was in to swing up and help out with the bigger pushes.
SUPERBOWL! Greg and Darius teamed up and handled a pretty light crowd for the big game. - IP

Prep List:
Everything is backed up well for a slow evening, but obviously with Dogman, Lemonade is flying. Will soon have to batch more DMC and Princes of Maine, but those move slower, so I think it'd be good to wait. More Cherry Lime probably tomorrow morning. - IP

Arun Mohan (607-229-0532) thinks he may have lost his CC here - we didn't have it, but he left his phone number in case it turns up. - IP

I think there is a large fruit order coming tomorrow, but if not, we are out of lemons in the walk-in. Should be fine for tonight but will need to order more ASAP. - IP
