BAR Staff Observations:
Started service with Gil and I doing an NPP 2019 #throwback, where he was on the floor and I was working Trees Lounge brunch. Staff really stepped up in a big way, and the day never got away from us service-wise. The snow definitely got some people to come inside and catch some movies, and most of the second, third, and fourth round screenings grew in sales exponentially throughout the day. JH
Customer Comments:
Around 4:30pm, Gabrielle let me know that a young girl had gotten her finger caught in the door leading into the ladies restroom by Trees. She had given them ice, and asked me to check in on them. The girl was upset, but her finger looked okay (I have a long history of catching my fingers in doors as a child, so know how gnarly they can get). I spoke to her and her father, and they declined an incident report. I gave them some yellow passes to come back another time, and they seemed very pleased with that. JH
BAR Staff Observations:
I know we have been praising this bar team a lot this new year, but man oh man is this team an absolute dream to work with, They really pitch in and show up when needed, and everyone feels very supported by both their peers and managers. Natasha called out this morning, and Matthew set Trees up for me halfway before setting himself up at Lobby. I was able to knock out some on the fly batching, and finished setting up Trees before doors, and crushed those service tickets.
I text both mids, Gabrielle and Greg, and they were both able to come in early, so that I could get back on the floor by 1:30pm. Patrick actually text me to ask if he should come in early, as he saw Natasha had posted her shift that morning, and I had him come in at 4:00 instead. Greg went down to Lobby to support Matthew, while Gabrielle and Patrick absolutely bodied the service pass and a pretty popping Trees crowd. Once Lydia and Jeshua were in, Patrick was able to float down to Lobby and Matthew was able to clock out shortly after. Truly, Matthew carried daytime service in Lobby mostly solo for his entire shift, and was a champ about it. JH
Team plowed through some very busy service pushes and a steady trees crowd all night. Gab and Lydia rocked the pass and Jeshua did his swiss army knife thing behind the bar. Patrick and Greg handled lobby with ease, even with an almost fully sold out dinner round. Aside from some glassware crunches, everything was very smooth tonight. - IP

Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Natasha text both myself and Gus this morning to let us know that she was feeling very poorly and would not be able to make it in for her opening shift. It's whatever flu-bug that has just been tearing through the building recently. Greg, Gabrielle, and Patrick all came in early to help with coverage, and Greg is going to work Natasha's opening shift tomorrow. Everything has been updated in 7Shifts. JH
Lauren let Gus know yesterday that she would not be able to work today as she was still feeling ill. She said she should be good to go for tomorrow morning. JH

Prep List:
Was able to get a double batch of PST Concentrate and Marmalade Syrup made, which should get us through the rest of the weekend and the upcoming holiday Monday. JH
Backed up the kegs that I could (Negroni/OF) but I couldn't find any Cream Sherry in the liquor room, so until we get more, the keg of Winter G&T that just got tapped today is what we've got.
I made some more strawberry syrup for the Captain America drink, and moved four containers of strawberry puree from the deep freeze to the walk-in.
Couldn't get to Bloody concentrate, but there is one left in the lowboy and roughly 8qt of mix ready to go - but bloody concentrate should be made tomorrow.
I got us caught up on Cherry Limeade Slushie. Will need to keep eyes on that with Dogman/Paddington and the kids off from school this week. - IP
