Manager Communication:
Relatively mellow first round, with service kicking off in the second round downstairs first, and then swiftly followed by a crowd at Trees and sold out big theaters. Most screenings for the second half of the day or near to or completely sold out, particularly those films we brought back this weekend. JH
Tough being short staffed on a Saturday like this, no mid since Ian is sick.
The glassware was put away by Jeshua and Darius that was completely unclean. Patrick and I caught it and pulled the glassware. The dishwasher routinely gets lemon seeds stuck in the gears and needs to be cleaned at least once every weekend or otherwise busy day. It sucks to get to the point of noticing dirty glassware. I tried to point it out to Jeshua and he blamed the machine. -LB
We batched a Bounty Law yesterday when we still had some left from 8 days ago.  I again worry that the batches will be compromised from sitting this long. I know keeping the machine full is a goal, but I think we can hold off on batching this one until we really need to.-LB
Ian, I gave lobby bar the Super bag to use as a coffee filter in the AM, since our filters are way too small for that machine.
I brought up bar cart for Patrick & Darius, closed liquor room and turned around to find a bus tub of bubbler parts. I don't know where it came from. Ghost repairman.-LB

Customer Comments:

BAR Staff Observations:

Darius needs to check in before he runs off on weekends to restock etc. He vacated the bar a few times during busy service pushes and didn't check with me.-LB

FOH Staff Observations:

Hiring/Training:
Greg had his second day of training, opening Trees Lounge with Natasha.  He actually misread his in-time, so got here at 9:00 instead of 9:30.  He was able to get a headstart on setting the floor and ice wells, and then Natasha walked him through the finer points of opening and service.  Once the third round kicked off in the larger theaters, he had ample time to be a part of busy service pushes.  Natasha took lead on service tickets, Jeshua focused on guest service and restocking, and Greg was able to be Natasha's support and then took lead on Th4.  JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Ian let us know last night that he was feeling very poorly and would not be able to work his closing shift tonight.  We moved Lauren from a mid to a closing shift, so the building will still have consistent bar manager coverage throughout service.  Ian is anticipating being well enough to come in for his opening shift tomorrow, and will update us should this change. JH

Special Events?
The Space Jam screening went very smoothly, with just about half of the confirmed guests showing up.  Chenelle prepped the menus for the theater, and service settled down after the initial push. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
daily playlists for Trees lounge.

86ed / counts on items: The coffee filters we have are the wrong size. Unsure where we get them from but the size the bar staff used today is leaving a lot of coffee grounds getting into the batches.  I don't know what size to get and there is no information listed in the bar order guide.-LB
I tapped our last homecoming keg. I do believe we need to start checking the inventory on sales for this vs what is running off the draft for staff. I think we need to rein this in as it is cost heavy.-LB

Prep List:
Matthew got some batching done once both mids were in.  There is Raspberry Cacao Syrup chilling (this needs to be added to the incomplete Spirit of Comfort batch in the walk in) and Arbol Tequila to strain. JH
I made a positively 4th st, honey syrup, bloody mary mix,  keg o' old fashioned. I did not have time to get the tarragon gin sous vide going tonight, nor did I have time to batch elphaba. -LB

R&D comp checks: working on The Last Showgirl recipe in case we get it.-LB

Over/Short on Banks: Trees bank was over 20 when I counted, Jared will confirm

Pay Outs: Payout for $7 strawberry-LB

Lost & Found?:

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Frizzante arrived during the first round, so we were not 86'd for too long into service. JH
I was checking to make sure US Foods came, no one blogged that it did, but it seems that our soda stash is almost whole.-LB
The hydrogen peroxides were for bar.  And the super vacuum/air blower is for the frozen machines. I labeled it and will reorganize some bar stuff in liquor room so it stays all together.-LB
The empirical rep dropped off some The Plum I suppose for us, as discussed during our meeting. -LB

Maintenance:
The FWWM frozen machine closest to the service pass at Trees continues to have the same problems.  For the time being, we are just going to use the product in that tumbler to refill the operational FWWM at Trees, and rinse out the tricky tumbler at the end of the night. JH
I know this seems unlikely, but talking to friends the other day, the complaints about the downstairs ladies rooms came up. At the Pavillion, the ladies room was large where the men's room is. Since we don't have a functioning center stall, why don't we just make those adjacent stalls larger? Just an idea.-LB

Mobilebytes Issues:

Filmbot Issues:
Permissions have changed on Filmbot, so leads can no longer approve e-credits.  Is this a permanent switch, or can we get those permissions back?  It was a pretty mellow Saturday morning, so heading down to Lobby was not an issue, but it will definitely be disruptive during busier shifts. JH
I do not have managerial permissions on the filmbot station and needed Dwight to help me credit a refund if someone can add me.-LB
