Yet again two folks on the mezzanine with outside food and drinks sitting on their table. I told them to put it away and then asked for ID. One of them had it and the other did not. He said "we aren't drinking or anything" to which I replied, "well you need to be 21 with ID to be up here and if you aren't spending money here what motivation to I have to let you stay." Would love if security did loops on the half hour after 7. I think a policy of purchasing something in order to be in the lounge is sensible. That can also be a ticket to a movie, like the Penn Station waiting room, show your ticket. -LB
Gus do you think any liquor brands would have branded check presenters? I bet we could get folding leatheresque ones from some type of vendor.-LB
I took down Christmas decorations. I took the Christmas-themed decals but left the snowflakes. I took the film ribbon and the garland put it all in a box. I also threw the blue snowflakes and the leftover hats/stockings from Love Actuallyl. Labeled it and it is in Trees Lounge Bar Storage. -LB
Gus I knocked out that stack of invoices, but want to go over mapping the food ones with you tomorrow. Also did not see Manhattan in there and want to double check that sitch. Also Harney and Sons. -LB

BAR Staff Observations: Darius was on it today. Some of his regulars came in and he was holding court. Awesome dude. -GS
Bartenders did not like the plastic check presenters. They don't stack and the checks blew around.-LB
Bryan pointed out that we are low on thermal receipt paper, I cannot confirm nor deny.-LB
After Darius took off, Bryan held down Trees solidly while I got a lot of stuff done. Maya was killing the lobby with some pockets of support needed.-LB


Hiring/Training: I'm meeting a bartender tomorrow at 11am

86ed / counts on items: We had a box of 36 water cups in liquor room which were not there when we needed them. Did anyone break them out? Either way will order more tonight-LB

Need to batch Old Fashioned tomorrow, possibly Cherry Limeade depending on back ups at bar, none in the walk-in but I don't want to over prepare for what might be some slower days than we have had.-LB

Maintenance:
I put in an Amazon order for leather repair tape that I can use to fix the split banquet in the Lobby. I have fixed many bar banquets using this stuff, I think this is a decent color/texture match. Happy to do it.-LB
The drainage tubing at Trees ice machine needs to be fixed to the wall, a hook holding it from draping would be wonderful. Sometimes it causes the ice machine cover to smash people in the head. -LB

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
