Manager Communication:

Nathaniel and I opened up the building and it was nice and breezy. Nothing of note to report other than the bar team has fully completed their Menu Quizzes, as Maya completed hers today! All updated in the drive folder and quiz put away in her file. - IP

I wanted to note that it might be fun to put a Cannaiolo Nero on the menu for Gladiator 2. It is a proud grape grown in Lazio, which isn't a huge wine region and also why the Romans are so into this grape. 

Customer Comments: The general consensus on the Cherry Limeade is that it is too tart. -LB

BAR Staff Observations:

Maya and Natasha rocked opening. Maya crushed a pretty well sold Ghostbusters screening and Natasha held down the lobby until Patrick came in at 1p. Miguel got in at 1:30 and jumped right in to help replenish glassware and get the bar nice and stocked. Around 3ish I had Nat hop to the back and get us ahead on some Maple/Sage/Pear syrup and a bunch of Bloody Mary Concentrate. - IP 

Natasha couldn't clock in this morning since she was scheduled for 9:30pm on 7shifts. She clocked out at 6:28 and was able to clock out, which I find odd since she wasn't able to clock in this morning. Happy to help make these adjustments if I have access. -LB

Darius recommends that once the nighttime person comes in for either bar, that they should clean the bubblers and serve out of a batch and pour.  It saves a bit of time later in the evening with the flow of cleaning. -LB

When Jeshua was refilling Tornado Wrangler, the top came off and it spilled into the ice well.  It then happened again.  So there was literal spillage of 2 quarts or so.  Seems to have been a poorly threaded lid/fit. -LB

Special Events?

Ghostbusters screening went off without a hitch. Who ya gonna call? - IP

 I had a cup of coffee from the carafe and got a large mouthful of grounds at the end. I am gonna clean that machine and see if perhaps too much coffee is going in and therefore the grounds are spilling over. A personal pet peeve of mine is obviously bad coffee.  -LB

I came in and threw together an Old Fashioned, a Bloody Mary batch and a Princes of Maine.

Nat batched: 2 Firewalks, a double batch of Pear/Maple/Sage Syrup, a Batch of Tornado Wrangler, a Lemonade, and 4 Bloody Mary Concentrates. - IP 

Noting the crushing amount of Old Fashioneds, if we see that the Spritz on draft isn't moving as fast we may want to make those by hand at bar and replace that line with Old Fashioned, just an idea. LB

R&D comp checks:

Made change for Trees, left big bills in line with the tens. If there is a place that is better for those big bills, lmk. -   LB

Lost & Found?:  A Nokia smart phone was left at Lobby bar. I put it in the safe with a post-it on it. 

Perhaps a restock of merch is in order.  Also a fun idea of Nitehawk tissues for the tear-jerkers. -LB

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Kitchen took 3 Old Forester bottles for floats. -LB

Maintenance: I discovered more filter panels on the ice machine and am excited to clean them today. -LB

Jeshua noted a chair from the mezz is broken. He set it on the landing in front of the storage door when he closed upstairs at Trees.
