Saturday 11.30.24 Jenn/Ian/Lauren
Manager Communication:
Another very busy day with very full theaters. The service pass at Trees got a little crunchy when we had second floor and third floor theaters seating either at the same time or very close to each other, but service was never negatively impacted and bartenders caught up quickly. JH
Customer Comments: People are surprised that they can't get the seats that they want 45 minutes to showtime on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend, so weird, obviously our fault. -LB
BAR Staff Observations: Patrick noted that Darius seemingly tries to avoid front-facing service during Saturday nights. He does a lot of restocking, which obviously is needed, but it seems slightly unfair. Upon his return to Trees I asked him to just get back there and help crank out drinks for 1 & 2. If he disappears again in this manner I will mention it to him, but happy to discuss an approach to handling.-LB

Darius was in the zone for the rest of the night, crushing it in the service pass. It is almost hard to think how they would have nailed these busy shows with a working gun in the pit!-LB
Well, well, well, everyone's favorite Trees Lounge Tot Goblin, Jared Kornblatt, ordered a last round for last call then puked into his beer glass. It was not witnessed by bar staff, but obvious from forensic deduction. He had already closed out but also did not inform the bar staff that he did that, which is shitty. He got here a lot later than usual today, wondering if he will come back after this, but who knows. -LB
FOH Staff Observations: Wyatt made the truthful point that Barq's root beer does have caffeine, as you all know, Barq's has bite. So perhaps noting the brand on the menu would be considerate for some folks. I mean I have nothing against sending home caffeinated children with their Park Slope parents. -LB

Most of the servers were getting on my nerves tonight, with the exception of Jay and Quetzie. Being on their phone in Trees service pass is not cool with me. They also just seemed to not acknowledge crowding in the busiest area during the busiest times wasn't helpful.-LB
Hiring/Training:
Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Bryan has caught the collective bar staff cold, he worked through it like a champ. -LB

86ed / counts on items:
We ran through the remainder of the Ketel G+R during the second round, and will be making Vodka Glindades with Community Spirit until we get more Ketel G+R in stock. JH
We are out of Maker's Mark. -LB
Jared Kornblatt?
Prep List: I made 3 Lemonade, a Cherry Limeade and 6 bottles of Rage is your gift. That can carry us through whatever decision is made as to whether we keep that cocktail or drop it for Queer. I tossed the bottles as it is the Cab Franc I don't want them grabbing the wrong thing during service. Needs to be strained at 6pm ish tomorrow. The green gin is also in that lowboy due to crowding in the walk in. I am tossing the gin bottles used to make it. -LB

Ian batched a bunch. I made a late night Tornado Wrangler but it got gobbled up by the bar restock, will need to batch more tomorrow. -LB
I made a late batch of Honey Syrup because it was cleared out by bar restock. They also cleared out Old Fashioned so that will need to be batched upon opening tomorrow.-LB

We received the lights for the bar area service pass. We have two so one can always be charged. I will have to located a charger cube for their USB charger. There are back up iron plates and screws. I will put them in the liquor room with other such riff/raff.-LB
Mobilebytes Issues: Kings County Whiskey is not in the POS. I did an open item and priced it at 15, which might be low, but there should be a key.-LB
