Manager Communication: 

Busy, busy, busy Black Friday, with most screenings selling out or getting very close to it all day.  Trees had a few crowds during the day, which kept us busy upstairs whenever there was a lull in service tickets. JH

Theaters were sold out but the Moana and Wicked crowds do not drink too much in my experience. Was a smooth service. - AB2

Customer Comments: 

Sooooooo... We got a call from Jeshua to have Nick come to Lobby at around 11:20. James went to Lobby and when I got there, he was behind the bar speaking to Jeshua. James then informed me that the guy was headed up to Tree's and had 2 bodega bags and was very visibly drunk. I started walking up the stairs and homie was at the top right near the entrance of Tree's. Nick was speaking with him about his bags with outside drinks. I came in and started speaking to the guy. It was 11:24. He said he wanted to order some food before the kitchen closes and that he had 12 minutes. I told him that the kitchen was closed and he referenced the closing time on google and said I could be mistaken. I said "maybe but regardless, we will not serve you because you are clearly intoxicated." He then got mad and had his hand in my face and stated "You can't fuckin tell me I'm intoxicated! What would your boss say denying a paying customer?!" I said "All good, but tonight is not the night." He was getting angry and an open Coors fell out his bag and spilt on the stairs. I told him we can't have this and that he was done. He was asking what we were gonna do and Nick was saying for him to go outside or we will call the cops and he was saying "y'all ain't gonna do shit!" We walked him down the stairs and he dropped another can down the stairs. He called us "faggots" at least 20 times on the way down. I went outside with Nick ready to do the Gangsta Boogie. I picked up his bag and he got mad. Homie yelled that he owned this neighborhood! My bad y'all I did not know homie owned the neighborhood so maybe our days are numbered. He said he'll be back as he cursed us out walking down the street. A bunch of guests were in the lobby at the time but what can you do? No one said anything. I thanked Jeshua for walkying us and was happy we were able to nip this early before he was able to speak to a bartender. All in all I will say it was pretty gangsta boogie. - AB2

BAR Staff Observations: 

Great opens from both Bryan and Tevon this morning.  Tevon basically held down a very busy Lobby singlehandedly, with minimal manager/bartender assistance, until Jeshua got in.  Patrick got in at noon, right after the first big theater push mellowed out.  All three were great about rotating between service, restocking, and coverage.  Closers were all in by five, just as the third round began kicking off at both bars. JH

Natasha, Matthew, and Patrick were great in Tree's and Jeshua rocked out Lobby bar solo like a champ. I was able to get Bryan and Tevon out as early as possible. I cut Patrick during the last rounds rush and we were good. Very happy with the bar team tonight. - AB2

FOH Staff Observations: 

Lead servers have really been taking control at the service pass and helping direct newer servers.  It has made a lot of those busy service pushes much more manageable. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 

I know this is partially due to film runtimes, but the staggering of Th1/2 screenings has been really helpful this week, and has kept both bars from cutting it close with glassware or restocks. JH

We are very low on the Glindade Vodka. I put it at a 4 count but keep an eye out on it. We only have the btl in Tree's

Lobby Ladies room big stall has a pipe crack on the toilet and a minor leak. Added to Maintenance doc. - AB2

Filmbot Issues: 

Had a few guests try to redeem bogo codes today at Lobby who were a little miffed when I explained that today was a holiday.  I don't think it was anything big enough for us to update any language on the passes or website, but just something to be mindful of next year. JH

Also in response to JH's note... bogo only works for Monday-Thursday right? I always verbal "the catch" to guests when they get free passes. Could be something to tell bartenders to do if they hand guests passes. What y'all think? - AB2
