Tuesday 10.29.24 Gus/Ian & Lauren

Manager Communication:
Gus and Lauren and I started off the shift with a little cleaning in bar prep and getting everything set up for Trivia. Once we got trivia off and running James and Daniella and Chenelle got everything all set for the private screening in Th. 7. Team was firing on all cylinders. - IP

BAR Staff Observations: 
So just an idea for the frose protocol, since it seems to add a bit to the end of the night. Ian and Lauren consider doing the emptying and cleaning on a rotation so the motors get a break. Cleaning the bubblers is really not difficult. The emptying of the machines also poses a little bit of a cold parking problem. Ideally leaving them all full and on through the weekend would be good idea to alleviate some of the opening/closing mayhem of our busiest days. - LB

FOH Staff Observations:
Siena and Jay held down theater 1 when the special event prep was going on. Dee and Rebecca jumped in from Theater 2 for a bit to help deliver some drinks that were waiting in the server station. They were all very flexible and more than willing to jump in and help each other. Great to see. - IP

Hiring/Training:
Lauren continues to be fantastic. Learned all the ins and outs of Trivia tonight - super thrilled she's part of the team :) - IP

Special Events?
Trivia was bustling as per usual. Tevon, Darius and Maya held it down like pros, and Lauren and I buzzed around to get them whatever they needed. - IP

The private screening in Th. 7 went great too. Kept the lobby bar pouring drinks until they were all settled with their first round and then routed to Trees when trivia was over. - IP

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
What's up party people? Ariel here with a lil celeb blogger post over from NWB. I forgot to mention in the blog yesterday that the Margarita has been pouring out real clear. We may have to give it some extra shakes. It still tastes good just pours very clear. - AB2

Made a Negroni Keg, a Zero-Proof Spritz Keg, a 2/3 batch of Bocuse D'or, and a big ole thang of Simple Syrup. - IP

Will need to make more of the Anora special tomorrow when the Lillet Rose gets in.  When we get more Dorothy Parker we can infuse some more Chamomile for the Bocuse D'or. Also probably more Firewalk, Lemonade and Cherry Limeade. - IP

Maintenance: Another idea was born from watching the end of night procedure change for our staff, and not wanting to do the same burden at night to the kitchen staff regarding trays.  What if the trays were washed in the morning and let to dry on the racks with the heating device. They would dry fast and even if they weren't totally dry, they wouldn't have had the opportunity to smell awful. - LB

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
