Sunday 10.06.24 Gus & Ian

Manager Communication:
Even with the not-fully-sold-out sales for Joker 2, today was BUSY. First floor was rockin' all day, and Trees stayed bustling - lots of folks seeming to be into the baseball games. Gus got ahead of a bunch of batching so the walk-in is stocked, rocked and ready to roll into this upcoming week. IP

Customer Comments:
Not a lot to speak of. -Gus

We had several very raucous guests in theater 5 during the last round of the night, who repeatedly came to Trees trying to get food and beverage service. I explained the service style, and they seemed to have a difficult time comprehending what I was saying. The guests appeared intoxicated (I conferred with Tiffany who was serving them, and subsequently Daniella and heard more about the disturbances in the theater, and their behavior), so when two of the party decided to leave the theater to order shots and more drinks at Trees lounge, I made the decision to cut them and their party off from more alcohol. They were understanding and profusely apologetic, and after a little bit more confusion with the food they had ordered (which was quickly resolved), they paid their bill without further incident. - IP

BAR Staff Observations:
Miguel is the man. He is always a pleasure to work with. Maya is a pro, very lovely to deal with. -Gus

We had some really difficult guests today on the whole, and everyone on bar team handled them with grace and professionalism. Darius and Brian were particularly great tonight, as the brunt of the weirdness happened during the later rounds of the movies, and by that point they were both flying solo. Really good attitudes and really calm demeanors. Well done. - IP

FOH Staff Observations:
Barry came to the drink pass and saw that a football player he liked wasn't having a good game and he started screaming at the top of his lungs. I told him to stop. He responded with "what no one is here" I corrected the behavior and said I don't care if its just me and him, we don't just start screaming, and I pointed out that there were 4 guests. He said okay, kind of a brush off. I was here the other night too when he was screaming about Tampa Bay (I believe.) I think we need to impress upon him that this behavior is not going to be tolerated. -Gus

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Machine maintenance -Gus

Could we have a conversation about putting up some NO SMOKING signs outside of the lobby doors? The weed/cigarette smell that permeates the building when people smoke under the marquee, or near the lobby doors is really frustrating and frankly gross - and if we had signage, we could at least have a little more leeway to kindly ask them to move farther away from the building. Just a thought . - IP

Tap Tower- should we install more metal for the dripping and raise the pre-existing trays? -Gus

Filmbot Issues:
This evening the card reader at the box office momentarily disconnected from the filmbot iPad because it flashed that it was out of battery, even though it was plugged in. I moved the plug to the outlet on the wall to the left of the box office, and Daniella reset in and re-connected it - solved the issue. Maybe wise to keep an eye on it tomorrow. - IP
