Manager Communication:
Not too much going on until dinner round. Trivia folks began filtering in around 6p as usual and we had a good pop at Trees when the metalheads started arriving for the Metallica Doc screening. Trivia started slow, but filled Trees and a some of the Mezz by the time it started in earnest. Good crowd for the Donnie Darko screening, so the pass was bustling between 7-10. - IP

BAR Staff Observations:
Lydia and Tevon were great in the lobby - the 8:30 screening of The Substance was sold out and they made the rush look easy. The trivia team is outstanding. Darius and Brian cranked out excellent service to the guests at the bar while teaming up to crush two busy service rushes for Metallica and Donnie Darko, while Maya marshalled the floor like the trivia general she is. After The Substance rush petered out, I had Tevon come up and give Darius and Maya a break (Brian decided not to take one), and then he split around 8:45. Trivia was rolling and Maya and Brian felt good about letting it ride without Darius, so I cut him around 9:30. - IP

FOH Staff Observations:
Quetzie was clutch at the service pass again tonight. Rebecca held down the upstairs theaters like a pro. - IP

Special Events?
As mentioned above - the Metallica Screening was great - had a good bar push before going into the theaters. Not as heavy a crowd for Donnie Darko at Trees, but that was probably more to do with limited space because of trivia. Trivia was a banger as usual. Started slow but filled up. - IP

Trivia dates are set for the rest of 2024. Events Calendar has been updated and Conrad updated the website. JH

Prep List:
Batched a good deal yesterday, so not much needed today. I threw together a lemonade at the end of service tonight so there would be two 12qt cambros for tomorrow. - IP

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
