Thursday 07.25 Dana/Ashley

Manager Communication:
Deadpool &Wolverine got us off to a strong start today. People lining up outside before doors. Ian was able to kill the first round with very little support and Tevon got us up on fruit and juices while it was mellow at lobby bar. -DL

Ian was a true lead today, helping Nicole understand the in and outs and helping keep up with busy tickets alongside her learning curve. He also verbaled his 2 week notice to Dana and myself, and I mentioned for him to write an email as well. This is an absolute heartbreaker, and his presence will be longed for. AB

Deadpool is a crowd-pleaser, with theater applauses heard throughout the world. Glassware was tight but not impossible. I would recommend breaking out our rocks glasses tomorrow and ordering more this week. AB

Customer Comments:
That woman mentioned in FOH blog that had food spilled on her and we decided to give passes for called Morgan a "fucking idiot". Can we be a little more patient in these moments and check in with staff before we refund drinks/give passes? AB

BAR Staff Observations:
First time seeing Bryan in action on a busy busy night in Trees and oh my goodness. He handled the bartop the whole night and he is lowkey the G.O.A.T. He also has maintained such a positive attitude. AB

FOH Staff Observations:
Morgan for the brave face the rest of the night. Zahra for becoming a Nitehawkian true and true so fast. Brendan and Justine for being drink-running olympians. Jovani for making me laugh. AB

Hiring/Training:
Do not judge Nicole too swiftly! At first I was a little concerned when I wasn't noticing some bar behaviors clicking into place (calling back, greeting guests, etc.), but it soon became apparent that was all nerves. By the end of the night she seemed like she's worked here for years. She asked questions that reassured me she knows what to look for, and is anticipatory in nature. Every person she spoke to she had a personal connection with. If it even matters, she has my vote. I look forward to guiding her with more specifics of what I do to make Nitehawk so special. Prep List:
Cue the Montage is flying off the shelves! Will need to make more early on tomorrow. Very up on everything else because Tevon killed it back there. When kegs kicked during service he just went right to batching another. He also ran to Mr. Kiwi and snagged us more pineapple chunks. Tevon has a chunk of my heart for that, soaked in blue curacao. AB

Over/Short on Banks:
Daniella at some point issued a refund in Lobby with cash and the drawer was $22 short. AB

Pay Outs:
Pineapple Chonkers - 5460 - $9.00 AB

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Empire dropped off 9 cases of Ca'bolani prosecco which was suppose to be OOS until August 30th. We received the Santa Marina yesterday and since it's almost half the price, we should use it in the Fleur Delacour as we switch back. -DL

Maintenance:
Coca Cola repaired the leaking soda gun in lobby bar.  They did some routine maintenance on all the other guns at both bars to make sure we're in good shape all around. -DL 

Can't wait for an update on the water spigot in Trees! AB

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
