Manager Communication:
Inside Out 2 is relentless. Again, the timing and spacing between screenings really worked in service's favor, keeping the pushes staggered across the day. Every Inside Out 2 screening sold out, or came incredibly close to it, and the smaller theaters began to catch up once we hit the dinner round. Our one-screening-a-day movies have also been selling out the smaller theaters consistently. JH
A busy Saturday throughout the later rounds. With the thunderstorm hitting we had a huge amount of walk in selling out the last round for just about anything that had seats available. Trees had a large drinking crowd of guests who didn't see a movie and really made Trees feel like a normal, welcoming bar according to the staff. -DL

BAR Staff Observations:
Wow wow wow, what a team during service today. Openers did a great job seeting both bars up for success, and each subsequent bartender arrived ready to dive right into service. Natasha made sure Trees was always well stocked and ready for each new service push, and Matthew was great about floating between floors as needed, with Kelsey holding down Lobby solo for the majority of the day. Ian grabbed some more glassware for Kelsey in Lobby before he got through the first batching session of the day, and service rolled right on into the dinner round. JH
The team kept up the energy all the way through. Miguel was able to hold lobby down solo with just some minor help as as the team in Trees handled the rush of sold out theaters and thirsty people walking in to get out of the rain. -DL

FOH Staff Observations:
Dee really is so helpful and eager to show up for other theaters when at the service pass. Erika and Rebecca were constant presences at the service pass during each Inside Out 2 load-in, and were very on top of communicating any sudden service needs. JH

Naomi's birthday party on the Mezz went well, with Wyatt being their main point of contact. Myself and Matthew set the tables with reserved signs before the movie let out, and the group was very easygoing. JH
Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Cashbox was pretty low on singles this morning when I was making change for the banks. We have been receiving a lot of larger bills recently, and don't break down larger bills in the bank until the next day, so this may account for why it has suddenly become a more common issue. We may need to replenish the smaller bills in the cashbox a bit more frequently so we don't pull small bills from day-of checkouts or tips. JH
May want to bring the Lobby, Trees Lounge, and Mezz thermostats down to 68 on days where we hit 90 outside. I kept on top of it today by cycling through holds every few hours, which kept the spaces from getting too steamy. The service pass at Trees and into the area where we set up family meal remains subtropical, even with the fan moving the air around. JH
Just to add some more onto on the cashbox topic made above by Jenn. Around 8 pm Jared had to go into the drops to get smaller bills because servers and both bars all needed to make change. It seems like a tedious task to do during a busy Saturday night and just double the work when the small bills are already there and accounted for. -DL

Should look into making 1 more NA Spritz Keg tomorrow. We can do one more before menu change or possibly just a half keg to push us through. -DL

I called Fast Kathy about the NuFoamicide delivery that never arrived yesterday. The driver had brought the NuFoamicide to the wrong Nitehawk yesterday out of habit, and they had loaded it on the truck for delivery today. It arrived a little after five. JH
Baldor delivered kitchen's order, but did not deliver bar's. I checked the site, and even though I have the confirmation email from them receiving the order last night for delivery this morning, it no longer exists on the site and was never populated on Bevager. I tried calling their help line, but the phone tree kept looping and then I got a message saying they were experiencing technical difficulties. This is becoming a theme in the blog today, but I will reach out to them Monday morning if the order does not show up. JH
NuFoamicide arrived today. One is at both bars with 2 backups in the liquor room. -DL

The Trees ice machine saga continues. When I came in this morning, the machine had definitely been making ice overnight, but not enough to fill the bin. Throughout service it toggled between error code 3 (low water refill) and 7 (temp sensor issue).
Myself and Dana changed out the water filters, which were due for a change anyway, in an attempt to fix the issue. Once they were changed out, the machine began making ice again without delay. If this was the solution, and the ice machine stays in service overnight, we should be all set. As this has happened in the past, myself and Dana have discussed changing out the filters at Trees every two months instead of every three.
If the ice machine issue persists, I will reach out to Dio first thing Monday morning. JH
Ice machine worked fine for the rest of the night after changing the filters. The water is still on for the plants so no worries there. Should be full of ice by the morning. DL
Filmbot Issues:
Third day in a row where we had to reset the card reader at Filmbot before it would accept any transactions. It works after a reset, so we have been able to do it before we opened, but it has been a persistent issue since Thursday. JH
