Manager Communication:
Tonight definitely kept us on our toes. The TH3 10 Things I Hate About You event went very smooth, & Maya absolutely crushed it solo while Ian batched us up. TH1 From Beyond practically sold out. Lydia held down all those tickets while Tevon took on bar guests. AB

The Root Beer button on the Lobby Bar soda gun popped off at some point. Maya found it while cleaning - Dana is going to get in touch with Coca Cola this week to re-assemble the gun. There is another button missing, but for the soda line that we don't use in service. The Root Beer button is up on the liquor shelf next to to-go boxes/coffee filters. AB

Last night Jenna had started a buyback tab and tonight Lydia did the same thing. I reiterated to both that we are buybacking items off the guests check in lieu of one large ominous buyback tab. AB

BAR Staff Observations:
Shoutout to Ian! He ran into two separate scenarios in Lobby tonight where product had turned, he intervened before it got to a guest, and contributed some ideas to avoid this. 
1) Cab Franc had something floating that didn't appear to be the wax top. I tasted it and realized the wine had oxidized. 
2) Ian went to pour grapefruit juice that he then realized expired 04/01, and the bottle was completely expanded & spoiled. 

This is a problem we've faced in the past with product in Lobby. I asked him to date all the red wine and juices. It wouldn't hurt to reimplement that for both bars, and reminding Lobby brunch openers to stock frugally. AB
  
FOH Staff Observations:
Dee is a positive addition that seems to really enjoy the Nitehawk atmosphere! AB

Prep List:
We ended up not having the man power to batch Bloody Concentrate. We're good on everything else if we can knock that out tomorrow! Challengers drink special I TOLD YA is batched and on the bottom shelf. AB

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Other Half, Finback and Union will arrive tomorrow. -DL

Over/Short Bank:
Lydia's money was very off at the end of the night. They mixed all their cash tips with the cash sales, and the 300 bank was short by 18. There was a "other cash transaction" for $14, but I could not identify what it was from (no payouts). Going by cash transactions, I re-did the money and the 300 bank was only short 4 dollars. I explained to them how money needs to be turned in going forward. AB

Maintenance:
The dishwasher is Trees is having *issues*. I've noticed we are going through so much of the Santec three solution (clear liquid, green label). It was empty and I changed it out both Sunday and Monday - the machine appears to be only pulling that one individual soap. I reached out to Russell to help get us in contact with our CleanSlate person. AB

Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
