Manager Communication: 
Numbers didn't jump up too much this morning, and STB had a very easy-going crowd. Miguel prepped for both bars and Matthew spent his shift mostly in Trees to help Natasha with glassware and guests. Once Ian got in, we batched a little bit of everything, mostly catching up on new syrups. AB

Pretty busy evening on all three floors, with Trees hosting a steady crowd that naturally dwindled after 11:30pm. JH

Customer Comments: 

Had an older woman who came to see Kung Fu Panda 4 with her daughter and two grandkids in Th5, who began to wander around the first floor.  She was ejected from both Th3 and Th5, and became irate after Matthew bussed the empty glass she had left on the bar.  Jeshua called for a manager, and I went to Lobby.  She was upset and getting loud about us stealing from her, even though her daughter had paid for everything up until that point, so I asked Dwight to grab her daughter from Th5 while I stayed at Lobby with her continuing to complain.  

The moment her daughter came out, they began to argue and her daughter physically ejected her mother from the premises.  They went outside and argued, and the daughter came back in and apologized for the disturbance.  She seemed pretty shaken by the whole thing, so I walked her back to Th5 and comped two popcorns from her and her kids' check because she wrapped up the situation as soon as Dwight spoke to her. JH

BAR Staff Observations:

Miguel & Natasha have these brunch opens down to a science. Excellent communication between them both this morning in regard to prep & coffee & friendship. AB 

Matthew and Jeshua really held down a busy first floor this evening, and stayed on top of restocks and glassware with consistent communication.  Ian, Gabrielle, and Lydia all took turns cycling in and out of service bar, and keeping up with a busy bar for the majority of the evening.  I had Ian batch one more time before he headed out, and Gabrielle and Lydia closed Trees without issue. JH

FOH Staff Observations: 

Both Grace and Erika were great at the pass up at Trees this evening.  Grace has gotten a lot more proactive about traying up and running drinks for other theaters that she is not assigned to, and checking in with other servers.  Erika always has such a positive attitude and is quick to communicate any service issues to bar management when appropriate. 

Allis is still having some stumbles, and had to be reminded which rack of glasses were dirty and which were clean, when she almost ran a rack of dirty water glasses at Trees back into service.  Jose sat on an empty glassrack and took out his phone while we were trying to unload clean glasses during a Th1 flip.  He was assigned to Th4, but I had him go to Th1 to see if there were more glasses to run down to Trees.  If we can please remind servers that Trees is not the place to take a sit and check their phone this week, particularly leads on a busy Saturday night. JH

Special Events?
Very easy crowd for All-Ages STB. Still plenty of product leading into the next one. AB

St. Agrestis Spritz (until draft lines get cleared Wednesday). AB 

We can use the larger orange juice bottles in the Bar Prep lowboy for service tomorrow. JH

Prep List:

Should be very caught up leading into tomorrow, lets keep an eye on the Cardamom Coconut Milk since One Small Ember is out-selling every other cocktail. Also, the Caperberry-Dill Vodka batch for Dirty Shame ideally is a 12 HR infusion and yields a small batch. If we need to make more Dirty Shame we should have someone start a new infusion overnight, thanks! AB

Made some more Cardomom-Infused Coconut Milk and Simple Syrup to close out the night.  We should definitely infuse more Absolut tomorrow early in the day, but Dirty Shame is stocked behind both bars and we still have some in the walk in.  Arbol Tequila and Honey Syrup should also be made. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 

Baldor arriving Monday.  US Foods & Stumptown arriving Tuesday. JH
