Wednesday 01.17.24 Dana/Ashley

Manager Communication:
Pretty chill day in the theaters, & Trees Lounge stayed busy considering. Gabrielle kicked it with us until Matthew was done batching. Inheritance had the bar packed, and everyone flooded into TH2 when it opened. Darius (an angel) worked a long Lobby shift for the team, and swung up to Trees to help Matthew reset. AB

I re-communicated with Vlad all the snow spots for Friday. He closes Thursday and is going to put down plenty of salt, Sergo opens that Friday morning. AB 

One of our space heaters was borrowed from Lobby bar for TH7? I still can't find our second. I agree, this building was freezing today, but not as cold as facing the front doors all night. Should we order a few more for server stations? AB

BAR Staff Observations:
Jeshua contacted us technically an hour before shift informing us he couldn't make it today. Darius was already okay with working the long shift in Lobby. I know we discussed Jeshua going down to 4 days a week but we may need to give him a conversation about his capability of being full time here. -DL

Jeshua did stop by later in the evening to explain the past few days. He still does not have a phone, but will be in tomorrow morning for his Lobby open and we can contact him still via email. He was very apologetic and expressed how much he loves it here at Nitehawk, so I did my best to take any of that worry away while simply expressing to get in touch with us as soon as possible in these situations. Yesterday he got surgery on his eye and temporarily lost sight, making an email difficult. AB

FOH Staff Observations: 
James was a great team leader in TH2 tonight. AB

Special Events?
Inheritance event in TH2 went very well! They had quite the bar crowd beforehand, which was more stressful than the theater push itself. I was there to support and Matthew multi-tasked enough to be 3 bartenders in one. Chenelle was in perfect communication for when they left the theater and fled back to the bar, nothing we couldn't handle! AB

86ed / counts on items:
86'ed: Athletic Hazy IPA, Sugar & Violence, Tinedo by the bottle (there is a count for 3 glasses in Mobilebytes. Old Fashioned will 86 very shortly if we don't get Rittenhouse by tomorrow. AB

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
St. Agrestis, Finback and Other Half arrived today. DL

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
