Manager Communication:
Busy day, with Mean Streets really setting the tone for every showtime afterwards. Plenty of close to sold out showings, and Trees had a steady crowd from 3pm onwards. I expect tomorrow to be similar, due to the Monday holiday. JH
Service got a little difficult in the nighttime. With tight turns and all sold out theaters, glassware was spread very thin. Servers were very attentive and helpful tonight with pre-bussing. We will just have to try to stay on top of it again tomorrow. Other than that, a pretty normal close. Darius held it down solo in Lobby with absolutely zero issue. Gabrielle and Jeshua somehow kept up that energy through the rest of the evening. AB
Customer Comments:
Around 3:15pm, Matthew walkied for a manager to come to Lobby immediately. When I got there he told me a guest had come out of a theater and was calling 911 and asked for our address, but had returned to the theater before saying what had happened. Luckily, Matthew was able to quickly point her out to me in Th3.
They were in seats 3208, 09, & 10, and were a daughter, mother, and grandmother. During the movie the grandmother had begun convulsing and was non-responsive, and so her daughter was the guest that had spoken to Matthew. By the time I got in the theater, the grandmother was lucid again and speaking, and EMS were on the way.
EMS arrived the quickest they ever have in my history of 911 calls at NPP, and they were lovely. They asked some preliminary health questions, but when they went to move her to a wheelchair to get her out of the theater, she began to shake and throw up. This only lasted a minute, so I grabbed them some napkins, and they were able to get out into the hallway. Vlad immediately mopped the floor and was very helpful, as was Grace. Wyatt brought down a stack of passes for any guests who were distracted by the incident, but everyone in the theater (at least during the movie) was very understanding.
After some further questioning from EMS in the hallway, they all went to Methodist in the ambulance together. Both the daughter and mother were very upset, so we offered what we could in the moment, but it did not seem appropriate to offer them an Incident Form. I Manager Comp'd their bill, and spoke with Nathaniel who refunded their tickets and will follow up with passes tomorrow. I figured it made more sense to hold off on sending any emails until tomorrow, so as not to overload them with NH so soon after they left. JH

BAR Staff Observations:
Matthew really did a great job holding down Lobby solo today, and was great about calling for ticketing assistance when service pushes were kicking off. Miguel and Kelsey absolutely crushed a very busy afternoon up at Trees, and were really good about keeping on top of everything with minimal prompting. Really great to have a morning with all three bartenders having started as servers at NPP, especially being a bartender short today. JH
I have to say, I don't think we would have gotten through this weekend without Gabrielle. Most of our leads are on PTO, and she handled non-stop sold out pushes back-to-back at the pass, and often by herself. As Jenn said, Kelsey was also super impressive tonight. She's definitely starting to understand the flow at Trees when busy, and is better at prioritizing and helping set up her team. AB

Shoutout to Morgan in 7 tonight! Also, Tiffany and Vincent had a wicked busy night in 4/6 and they were on top of their game. Julianna is the pre-bussing champion, in case y'all didn't know. AB

Spoke with Ian and he seems pretty confident about being well enough to work his shift this Tuesday. He is planning on submitting sick pay for this past Thursday and Friday, as well as today. I have updated the Sick Calendar. JH
Jeshua mentioned at the end of the night that he has something wrong with his foot? He might go to urgent care in the morning, but he seems okay for now. I asked him to keep in touch with Dana and myself tomorrow. AB

We ran out of fruit, y'all. Limes and lemons to be exact. Thankfully we are all juiced up for tomorrow. I borrowed enough lemons from kitchen to get us going tomorrow (shout out to Chef Charlito). I'll pick up limes on my way in and keep in touch with Dana if we need more going into the night. Also, 86 pomegranate juice. I had enough to batch a 3/4 N/A Seltzer keg. We have been changing this keg once a day, so let's keep an eye out. Baldor makes deliveries on MLK day! I did my research. We should be okay if we get those started first thing Monday. I'll get a count on Athletic N/A IPA in the morning. The last of the Tinedo is on the shelf in the liquor room. AB
