Manager Communication: 

Another busy open for Th1/2, but service went really smoothly, even with a sizable crowd outside for the 2:45 Migration in Th1.  Pushing bar mid shifts up has been really helpful, so we never ran behind with bar guests or theater service.  Smaller theaters led the way in sales for the dinner round, as Th1stayed below 60 tickets. JH

Matthew helped us get ahead of some batching after a busy dinner round. Jenna absolutely slayed at the pass tonight as well as assisting Lydia with a hefty pre-close. Gabrielle cleaned the bubblers and stayed a little longer to help reset Trees with glassware even though she opened Lobby, and we just love to acknowledge that teamwork. Jeshua handled Lobby solo like a peach, and was re-routed at 10:15PM. -AB

Regarding the women's restroom in Trees, Vlad really went in to alleviate that godless odor. He emptied all the individual stall sanitary bins, mopped, sprayed air freshener, etc. The odor had completely dissipated. Nathaniel helped me get the space heater in there to the lowest level, but we couldn't find an actual switch. Fast forward to 2 hours later, the smell was back with a vengeance. We now think it might be coming from the drain in the floor, I poured some citric acid down before leaving. Can we have someone remove that grate and check it out in the morning? Something has to be dead. (RIP) -AB

Customer Comments: 

A guest asked for a manager in Lobby from TH7. When I spoke to him, he was very agitated regarding the gratuity on his bill and mentioned it was just a two-person party. I took it off and then he asked to close out Apple Pay, I explained that's why gratuity was added in the first place but I didn't add it back because he was so frustrated. I simply explained in the future that is our policy and to expect gratuity if he has no other form of payment. He finally calmed down, proceeded not to tip, and went back into TH7. I apologized to Kaya regarding the mix-up, since this guest ended up definitely being in the wrong. After the fact, I found out he exited his theater earlier to return a Saratoga Still because it had been opened by his server. He definitely seems to have some problematic undertones and made Kaya feel uncomfortable, less-than. I very much advocate him to be on the 86 list. Had I known that he was disrespectful prior to my altercation, I would have insisted on the gratuity and handled much differently, so I apologize for my part in that. I gave Kaya tokens and Daniella also spoke with her, she still was very much shaken by this particular guest.

Oh my goodness, Matthew prepped so much. Going into the weekend, we can get ahead with the following syrups: Ginger Turmeric Syrup (Y Tu Mama), Rosemary Pomegranate Syrup (N/A Spritzer), Toasted Rice Syrup (In the Mood for Love), and Maple Pear Sage Syrup (Winter G+T). I wanted to triple check that Sugar & Violence is going into the new week, but we have plenty to start. -AB

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 

Placed orders from Big Geyser (Ginger Beer & Saratogas), Fast Kathy (NuFoamicide), & Harney & Sons (Peppermint Tea). JH

A lot of deliveries arrived today.  Just waiting on Empire and Southern, and continuing to hold out hope for Peach Tea. JH

Maintenance: 

Both door stops in Lobby Bar are severely worn out, doors aren't staying open functionally for servers. Added to maintenance blog. Also, see manager communication. Adding the restroom floor drain to maintenance blog as well. -AB
