Sunday 12.17 Ariel/Jenn
Manager Communication:
Solid busy day. Really can't say enough good things about Matthew, Miguel, and Kelsey today. They really made this shift way easier for me than it could have been. -AB2
Busy, busy Sunday. We sold more tickets than yesterday and had plenty of theaters sell out, ore get close to it, during the third round. Lots of new menu items leaving both the bar and kitchen to plenty of rave reviews among guests. JH
Customer Comments:
I had a guest at Trees ask if she could talk to me, shortly before heading into Th3 for the 6:35 Renaissance screening. She was with another woman and said that the service she received from the bartender (Jeshua) was subpar. I had her walk me through their interactions, apologized on behalf of the bar for the less than stellar experience, and offered to buy them a round in their movie. They were very happy with this, and I gave Charlotte a head up to make sure they had a better time in the theater. When I spoke to them briefly after the movie they were much happier.
I was able to speak to Jeshua after they were in their theater, and he said that they had been difficult guests. They immediately sent back a Kale Caesar Salad because they did not like how it looked, and then received Shishitos with molasses after asking for it be made without (Jeshua incorrectly entered the mod on MB). Jeshua had only gotten in an hour earlier, and things were a little hectic, so I think the back to back sendbacks knocked him off his game for a bit, especially as service was really picking up pace at this time of the evening and we were shorthanded.
I bring this up, just in case she emails, because she insinuated that she believed Jeshua was drunk or under the influence of something because he was stumbling and slurring his speech. I wholeheartedly do not agree with that assessment, as I was working very closely with all the Trees bartenders at this point in the evening. I think she took his accent, as well as a tendency to move too quickly sometimes, as something more than it was.
Honestly, i think this was a situation were several little things piled up during the course of service, and it left both sides of the interaction feeling slighted. JH
Dealt with a lot of noise complaints from the 5:15 Th7 Maestro screening once the 6:35 Th3 Renaissance started. Some people were pretty upset after the movie, and while some were happy with passes, others apparently just wanted to get their anger out and shout at me for a bit about how the thunderous bass had ruined the narrative culmination of Bernstein's legacy. It all wrapped up pretty quickly, and I did not field any complaints from the following round. JH
BAR Staff Observations:
There were only two bartenders scheduled for Trees today. Matthew at 9:30 and Jeshua at 5:15. Miguel opened lobby and Kelsey came in as mid for lobby. I had Kelsey playing "musical bars" and she mainly worked in Trees. Matthew and Miguel were fantastic through a busy first round and absolutely handled shit. Kelsey came in and fit in perfectly. I wanted to put her up in Trees to get more Trees experience. Sidenote... What's up with that situation? I thought she was great at both bars today. She shows initiative and a real interest for bartending. I feel like she should get more bartending shifts and it honestly makes no sense to me why she only gets one a week. She is just as good or better than all of our past servers turned bartenders (outside of the obvious). -AB2
Everyone was really great about pulling long shifts today. Both openers kept up with the pace all day, and were able to get out of here shortly before seven, when the bulk of the dinner round service pushes had settled on all three floors. Kelsey was a huge help up at Trees and took on the bulk of the 7:45 Th2 Poor Things service push solo while Jeshua focused on bar guests. Kelsey got out of here just before nine, and Jeshua and Tevon closed each bar without issue. Tevon swung up to Trees to help Jeshua pre-close a bit, as it was a very busy evening. JH
Prep List:
Started the shift batching
-3 Firewalks
During a lil chill moment I was able to batch
-2 Lemonades
-Chamomile Syrup
-Negroni
-Espresso Martini
-Winter G&T (I made it in a cambro and strained it. We were out of kegs so waiting for one to empty).
-AB2
Pay Outs:
There was a $150.00 payout for what I'm assuming was a brunch DJ, but neither myself nor Carly could find the payout slip. If it was for a DJ, unfortunately it was rung in incorrectly as Misc. Venue Events. JH

Maintenance:
The floor drain under the handwash sink at Bar Prep has been draining much more slowly the last couple of week than it usually does. I added it to Maintenance, just in case there is a blockage further down the line. JH
Mobilebytes Issues:
Mobilebytes Issues:
The wifi went out at the Trees terminal that is attached to the cash drawer around 6:15/6:30pm. We used the other terminal in the meantime, and Carly walked me through how to reset the wifi and there were no further issues. JH
