Manager Communication:
Really busy again today all the way through the dinner rush. Service went well. -ND

I pushed up the times of all of trees mids for the whole week. Most of the business is on the early side, so we will need people in a little earlier than we planned for. -ND

The trees dri-deck under the service well beer taps is always very sticky to start the day. And so is all of the glassware stacked there. I think we need to add a new closing responsibility; leave that completely empty at the end of the night and wipe it down, so we can restart tomorrow. Otherwise the rims of all the glassware on that deck have a sweet soda residue on them. We will email it out in the bar notes this week, but let's remind the closers at the end of the night whenever we are closing.  -ND

All floors were very busy for the dinner round, but with the exception of some service hiccups in Th2, everything went smoothly.  Trees crowd hung around for the majority of the evening, but definitely cleared out once we got to eleven. And, related to the above dri-deck note, I passed this on to Lydia and Maya and they cleared the deck once the final round got underway.  Let's make sure we remind Trees closer of this over the coming week. JH

BAR Staff Observations:
Shout out to Ashley "Floridaman" Brewer. Way to work a busy solo open while still getting the bar reset from the holiday weekend. You are a Christmas miracle. - ND

Ashley stayed crushing it and really helped us get back on top of theater and Trees batching.  Once we got through the last heavy Th2 push, Lydia and Maya held down Trees and Ashley was able to get out of here once batching was done.  Lydia and Maya were really organized tonight and did a great job communicating with each other without needing anything but some light expo'ing from me in the b usier moments.  Maya, in particular, is really fastidious about resetting the service bar, backbar, and floor when she can catch a moment between rushes.

Jeshua and Darius handled a very busy evening in lobby, with a fair amount of ticket support from Dwight.  This really left me free to focus on Th1/2 service at its busiest, and Jeshua was able to get out of here shortly after the third round had begun.  Maya helped Lydia out with preclose, and both bars cleaned their frozies tonight. JH

FOH Staff Observations:
The dinner round in Th2 was a little bit bumpy, with regards to not all servers running trays of drinks up.  Both Makenna and Justin really took the lead on getting drinks from the bar to the server station and were a big help in keeping service moving.

Of particular note was Avalon, who has consistently had issues with ringing in drinks that are not included in theater service (happy hour, Trees cocktails, doubles, etc.). This is an issue that I have noticed most times she is stationed in a busy theater and there has been a lack of improvement.  One ticket from tonight had to be rung in three times after she had to have three separate conversations with Carly about it.  I don't know if she needs a refresher on orientation or POS training, but it is becoming a consistent issue that bottlenecks service at Trees, often at our busiest. 86ed / counts on items:
Peach Tea is on a count. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
Peach tea was out of stock from gold coast when I tried to order it today. They said they won't have it for a couple weeks. I reached out to Brooklyn Best directly to see if they have any stock to get us through. We might be out for a bit though. -ND

Baldor arriving tomorrow. JH

Maintenance:
I ordered a cover for the light controls in trees. Should be in on Thursday from Amazon. I cna install it then. -ND

The smell situation in the ladies restroom at Trees has not improved.  I didn't check it out until about 11:30, but most of the sanitary trash receptacles in the stalls were close to full or overflowing.   As Markenson was already gone for the day, I relayed to message to closing porters.  The heat from the wall heater by the door is not doing the lingering odor any favors.  I will leave the door open tonight to air it out, and may turn off that wall heater when I get in tomorrow morning. JH

The service well at Trees was draining especially slowly tonight.  I used the plunger and was able to dislodge some citrus seeds.  It was a bit stop and go, so just a note for closing bar manager to keep an eye on it tomorrow night to see if it drains slowly again and we will add to Maintenance. JH
