Manager Communication: 

Brisk morning, with plenty of theaters selling out, or getting close to it, during the day. JH

Good pop from the late round of movies. Not much action in Trees after midnight. -DL

BAR Staff Observations: 

Really great work all around today.  Natasha held down lobby all morning, while Ashley and Matthew absolutely crushed the NewFest brunch event.  Once the event was over, Th1 had a pretty busy service push, shortly followed by a nearly sold out Th2.  

Miguel got both bars restocked once he got in, and then stuck around Trees to help with service.  Ian got in right as a sold out Th1 was seating and the NewFest screening was letting out and filling up Trees.  Matthew was able to step in as a drink runner for the second round Th1 service, to help cover some gaps due to server callouts. JH

Ian, Lydia and Darius crushed the dinner service for the sold out and near sold out showings. Jeshua held lobby down and dry out the lowboy to the far right that is still pooling water. -DL

FOH Staff Observations: 

Servers were on top of prebussing in the larger theaters, which was very helpful in keeping the bar stocked in glassware.  Just a reminder for this week's service email: only glasses that had floats, or drinks that leave a lot of product in the glass, need to be left rightside up and rinsed out before being put through the glasswasher. JH

Special Events? 

The NewFest Filmmaker Brunch went really well this morning.  Trees was prepped and ready well before event time, and the special drinks sold well.  We set up coffee and juice alongside the water station, whih really helped with the flow of service.  The brunch buffet set up was absolutely gorgeous, and guests were full of compliments throughout the event.  

Brunch wrapped up and guests loaded into Th1, and most of them happily came back to Trees after the Q&A while Eliel DJed.  NewFest was able to get the majority of their stuff out of the bar storage closet, and took all of the remaining donated bar product. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:

Killers of the Flower Moon crowd knows they are in for a long movie, and definitely set themself up for bevvie success once seated in the theaters.  Every seating had very prolonged initial service pushes, so make sure bartenders are stocked and ready for sold out screenings. JH

Another KotFM note: this movie is incredibly quiet at times, so make sure to remind folks in the server stations and office to keep their voices down.  JH

Maintenance: 

The ice machine at Trees has been acting weird, but has had no issues making ice.  It has made some weird, screechy noises this week, but they have gone away after a reset.  The side closest to the coffee urns got way overheated today, so we turned the machine off for a bit and Dana cleaned the two filters on that side.  Something to keep an eye on, in case we need to call in Dio to check it out. JH

Checked the ice machine throughout the night. The screeching sound didn't return. However the side of it did get really hot again for a moment. Turned it off for a few minutes around 9 and didn't have another issue with it for the night. -DL
