Sunday 8.06 Edgar/Jenn


Manager Communication: Steady brunch into early afternoon business levels. Lots of drinks tickets, but also very manageable. Not a big presence in Trees this morning/afternoon as people just shuffled quickly into the theaters. EA

Similarly steady evening with theater service, but without much of a lingering bar crowd at Trees. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Clean and and efficient open from both Natasha and Miguel today. Both were in high spirits and communicated well regarding who was taking on prep for what. After both mids were in, Natasha filled in any gaps with her batching and we were set to go. EA

Once the initial dinner servic epush settled and both bars were restocked, both openers were able to get out of here.  Jeshua and Jenna prepped some more citrus for Trees so we are well stocked for open, and then Jenna held down lobby solo once Jeshua was cut around nine.  Darius stayed up at Trees almost until last call to set Tevon up for an easy close while navigating steady drink tickets at the pass, and Tevon closed without issue. JH

FOH Staff Observations: Smooth service all brunch into early afternoon. Servers were coming one after another to get trays to the theaters and from our end ticket times didn't seem to take long at all. 

Shout out to the entire second floor AM crew. Everyone did a great job with drinks and helping cycle glassware. EA

Charlotte, Erika, Jess, and Madelaine were great at the Trees service pass.  Madelaine in particular has been a lot more proactive about delegating and guiding trays since becoming a Lead. JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs: Eliel text Edgar, Nick, and myself this morning before open to let us know that they were feeling very under the weather with a fever, and if they should mask up for their closing shift or if anything could be done to cover.  I volunteered to close tonight, in exchange for Eliel picking up my Wednesday close.  Since we were able to do a shift trade to accommodate the call out, Eliel was not added to the Sick Calendar. JH

86ed / counts on items: Low on Dorothy Parker gin. Only two bottles left in liquor storage. Could not batch anymore Watermelon G&T, but we have two kegs left that should get us until next delivery. EA

Lost & Found?: During the dinner round, somebody dropped two fifty dollar bills on the ground at Trees.  Darius found it and I have it in an envelope pinned to the board in the office.  No guests ever came to look for it, so I'm guessing after a certain amount of time has passed we will just drop it in the tip pool?  JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: US Foods arriving tomorrow. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
