Wednesday 07.19.23 Edgar/Eliel



Manager Communication: Calm before the storm here in NPP. It's almost as if you could feel the energy in the air. That being said, it was a quiet day in the building today. So bar was able to begin to prep for the weekend with ease.  

Let's make sure we keep an eye on sales this weekend, and adjust as needed. Jeshua is live as of Friday. Let's use him if needed! 


The rest of the evening went pretty smoothly. The lobby popped off a bit more than Trees during dinner. EL

Customer Comments:

BAR Staff Observations: Quiet day so I was able to have both Gabrielle and Matthew split prep duties to help us get started for the weekend. Gabrielle juiced for us, while Matthew cut garnishes since we're going to be busy at jump. That being said, keep an eye on levels and get openers tomorrow to start making more if needed. EA

Prep List: Looking good going into the big day. I made one of each specials. Barbie is on the bottom shelf.  We'll probably need another batch of each tomorrow. We need menu descriptions and instruction page. EL


Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: We are still waiting on Union Beers to deliver. I reached out today via email, but haven't heard back yet. EA

Maintenance: The compressor in the bar walk in iced over again. Paul and Vlad alerted me to weird sounds coming from there and I confirmed the freeze when I turned the fan off. 

The walk in door is not closing on it's own anymore and stays ajar if whomever goes opens doesn't close the door behind them. In addition, the weatherstrip on the bottom is starting to come off and leaving a gap underneath the door. 

Chef Russell said he would reach out to Dio regarding the weatherstripping since he is already getting work done for the kitchen walk in. 

The floor also is starting to warp badly and will need some service at some point too. 

All that said, I turned the fans off to let them thaw and Eliel will turn back on before they leave for the night. Can the opener please take a look at them when they are in? Thanks! EA

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
