Thursday 7.27.23 Edgar/Eliel



Manager Communication: Solid start to the day with another sold out Barbie to grace our doors followed by a decently sold Elemental on the bottom floor. 

Super duper hot outside today created some midday condensation on the staircase by the MOD office as well as by the kitchen entrance by TH5. 

Today was very busy, Great Trees vibes all night. 

BAR Staff Observations: Ashley crushed the first round in Trees with some support. Glassware is rough in the beginning because so much gets taken to the kitchen by the closers the night before, but we got through it as I unpacked it quickly while she handled service tickets. Tevon held down the lobby while getting some juicing done for the day. Opening was a breeze since we had a lead at each bar. EA

Ashley super batched, Tevon hung out at Trees with Jeshua and Gabrielle. Everyone worked hard and did great jobs. 

Jeshua took lead at service and did a great job.  At some point during the last Barbie load in, he got intimidated by rapid printing tickets and stumbled a little. I told him to slow down and forget the tickets, just do a few at a time and he quickly regained his composure and did not need to be rescued. He still forgets to garnish drinks when there isn't a bar MOD at pass, but I spoke to him about it and he did much better, but yeah, pretty solid. 

FOH Staff Observations: People were tired but people hustled. Great courage under fire. 
I did have to remind a server that they should not garnish drinks and they got upset with me. 

Special Events?: Shouting at the screen had a great Trees crowd before and after the show.

Lost & Found?:

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Community Spirit Vodka is on backorder with Southern. I alerted Dodge to this and we should have 15 cases coming directly from their warehouse tomorrow so fingers crossed we're stocked up again tomorrow. 

We received a bag of atomic cherries.  

Maintenance: The Hydraulic unit in the Woman's Lobby Restroom door is completely dead it seems. It looks like it wont retain any oil and doesn't slow the door down to close behind guests. I alerted Juan to it, but I'm putting it on the Maintenance log as well. 

The Induction burner at Trees randomly shut down today. I'm not sure if it fried or overheated, but the outlet seems to still be working itself. I disconnected it and am just letting it rest. Can someone try plugging it in tomorrow and see if it starts working again? Otherwise, we'll have to replace ASAP. EA

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
