Thursday 06.08 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: Nonstop busy service from the moment doors opened, a brief lull before Th1 opened for the second round, and then very very busy service pushes at both bars from 5:30 until 8:30. JH

STB brought in a decent amount of people for the late round along with Spider-Man crossing the 100 mark. Kept Trees busy for the majority of the night. Really strong traffic at Trees for the day as well. A bunch of Spoons guests came out from the show for a one and done kind of thing. 

The frames for the bar signage came in today. I will be getting those together and mapping out a spot for Juan to put them up on my next shift. EA

BAR Staff Observations: The team today really crushed it, keeping up with every service push and never letting bar guests linger too long before taking their orders.  Ashley and Tevon communicated really well before open, so Tevon was able to set up Trees with cut citrus and a small restock while Ashley took on two very nearly sold out Spider-Man screenings back to back.

Once Ian and Matthew were in, Trees slipped right back into busy service pushes, and Tevon floated between floors to help with restocks.  Matthew held down lobby solo for a while until Tevon was able to get back down to help with service and, once lobby slowed down, Tevon headed back to bar prep to help Edgar get through batching most in-house cocktails to keep up with demand.  Really great work and communication all around tonight for bar team. JH

I was able to get Tevon out after the spoons crowd situated themselves and Ashley not that much longer after. With all leads on plus Matthew, it was a busy, yet smooth evening. Always appreciate great work with a tight crew and they deserve all the praise we give. EA

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Kitchen ticket times reached 30-40 minutes at Trees during the dinner round, but that was not communicated to bar until we walkied down to kitchen to check on orders.  We had one guest who ordered and paid for a shrimp cocktail walk out before it arrived, and the ST&B hosts waited 35 minutes for their order. JH

Prep List: I packed us out with batching today, but we'll need more lemonade once juice comes in and possibly more Tamarind-Lime Syrup (There's no rush and this can probably wait though since I just made a double batch)

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: We are still waiting on the soju delivery from SKI.  US Foods arriving tomorrow. JH

Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
