Manager Communication: The pushed back openings in TH1/2 really set us up for success with regards to the busier service pushes, especially since every floor had sold out theaters throughout the day. JH

Super busy dinner as well, but the bars took it in stride. Since the big theaters went in earlier for the last round, service was a cake walk and both bars just crushed the rushes.

There was that unofficial scavenger hunt that came in for like an hour to have a drink or two before moving on to another site. They were great and a welcome addition to help fill out Trees. I will try to be in contact with the coordinator of the group and see if we can set more of these up, or even host a silent disco kind of night. EA

Customer Comments:

BAR Staff Observations: Andrea and Natasha did a great job stocking and opening both bars this morning.  Andrea really has a good sense for how to best prepare for solo service pushes during the earlier rounds, so drinks were flying out of Trees once theaters opened.

Natasha pretty much ran lobby solo until around 3:00, as I needed Lydia upstairs to help Andrea with service and then with a restock once Ashley arrived.  Once Gabrielle arrived, I was able to float Lydia back down to lobby, and had Natasha join Edgar in a batching session at bar prep once Matthew arrived.  All around great team today, with really great communication and a lot of support between bars when needed, which really served to keep the service pass efficient and effective throughout the day. JH

All the evening staff worked in sync tonight. Both bars we communicating and checking in on each other throughout the day to make sure that there were enough hands on deck for all the sold out rooms. This all provided for a smooth service all around. EA

FOH Staff Observations: Raekwon was such a big help at the Trees service pass all day, regularly running trays of drinks to theaters other than his own.  Maria also was a great presence at the service pass once she arrived. JH

Special Events? Shay from Trivia stopped in for a pre-birthday celebration at Trees, and brought an absolutely lovely crowd with her.  Kept Trees full during Ariel's set for Brunch Club, and then hung around until after six. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Andrea and Paul let me know that it appeared that Mezz had not been swept this morning.  Just a reminder to touch base with porters to make sure they are going up there, too. JH

When having bar staff juice on Fridays, make sure they are mindful and juicing for the weekend. We ran out of lemon juice at Trees during dinner and had to take the rest from lobby to continue service. On expected busier blocks of days, we should be juicing more! EA

86ed / counts on items: Out of Peach Tea and Ruby Hibiscus Water. No more Tecate in the walk in so it will need to go on a count at some point tomorrow.

Prep List: I made sure we stocked hard on Lemonade for the jump, but should start Simple Syrup asap.  Both bars have Firewalk to start, but more will have to be made at some point.

Lemon and Lime juice should be squeezed for service. EA

Pay Outs: $150.00 (Ariel DJ)
$38.80 (non-alcoholic blue curaçao) JH

Lost & Found?: Dwight found a bundle of cash ($45.00) on the floor in lobby right in front of the bar.  We asked around with the guests that were in lobby at the time, but no one was missing cash.  The cash is in the MOD office in an envelope pinned to the board. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Ink pads arrived for BRIC, they are in the bar storage closet next to the pool table supplies.  The bridge cue stick also arrived, and is upstairs on the Mezz.  Edgar ordered some Spider-Man and The Little Mermaid ingredients on Amazon. JH

Can whoever opens on Monday check in with Fedex about the package that still needs to go out? EA
