Friday 06.30 Jenn/Eliel



Manager Communication: Very busy night, with all second round screenings selling very well.  Trees also had a pretty big crowd, that ebbed and flowed with seatings, from about 5:30-11:00pm.  Busy throughout the building, but staffing levels seemed pretty appropriate and most everyone was in high spirits. JH

Customer Comments:

BAR Staff Observations: Really great work tonight, with bartenders being very flexible about some on-the-fly schedule changes.  Eliel and Tevon were great at a very busy lobby all night, and Ashley, Matthew, and Natasha were another dream team up at Trees.  Great communication and delegation behind both bars, and everyone was great about pivoting from theater service to guest facing based on service needs.

Once the second round had gotten through all of the initial service pushes, both bars got restocked, and Tevon helped me finally unload and organize all of the deliveries that arrived today in the liquor room and walk in.  Ashley and Tevon then powered through a bunch of batching to get us prepped up, and Tevon got out of here shortly afterwards. JH

FOH Staff Observations: Daniel was really proactive at the Trees service pass, traying up drinks and running them for theaters other than his own at every chance.  

Julianna did express some frustration that notes she was giving some servers in Th1 about proper steps of service (prebussing, not leaving dirty dishes lingering, taking cards and running drinks for rows other than your own, etc.) were being met with a lot of unnecessary obstinance.  She very much felt that she was just acting as a lead trying to just keep the station organized during a busy service. JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs: Ian was mistakenly scheduled for service tonight and tomorrow, but he will be in California until the fourth.  

I opened Trees and was able to have Matthew come in a little early so I could get back on the floor.  Natasha was moved to close Trees with Ashley, Eliel clocked in as a Lead to work the Lobby Close shift, and I stuck around until a little past eleven.  Once lobby was settled for the night, Eliel clocked in as a bar manager for close. 

We have already rearranged the schedule for tomorrow to accommodate Ian's absence. JH

Prep List: Looking at sales numbers from last week, we batched what will probably be the last City of God and Jungle Bird tonight. We are looking pretty well set in the walk in for open tomorrow. JH

Pay Outs: $10.21 appliance brush $24.86 glass and Tile 

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: All outstanding deliveries from yesterday arrived today.  Baldor arriving tomorrow morning. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
