Tuesday 5.09.23 Edgar/Jenn



Manager Communication: Pretty mellow in the theaters, bar service was definitely focused on the event in Th1 and the after-party. JH

BAR Staff Observations: No one was able to pick up Maya's shift, so Eliel held down Lobby Bar solo today.  They were a huge help keeping Trees stocked with service-ready Neon Demon during the open bar at Trees, and I was able to send Gabrielle to help them close, once the event at Trees had concluded. 

Ashley, Gabrielle, and Tevon absolutely crushed the event.  Morale was up all night, and the event went very smoothly due to a lot of communication and pre-stocking.  Edgar and Nick stayed a little later to help with the initial service push at the bar, and were able to get out of here afterwards.  The crowd dissipated by the time the open bar concluded, so resetting the bar was done well before midnight.  Ashley was able to clean and refill the Strawberry Lemon Slushie hopper that we had commandeered as a Neon Demon backup for the night.  Overall a great team behind both bars tonight. JH

FOH Staff Observations: The servers helping the event were wonderful, with Grace and Monica being super helpful with resetting Trees once the event was over. JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs: Maya Sharpe out sick. 6.75 hours added to the sick calendar. EA

Special Events? As noted above, the party at Trees for NewFest went great, with a lot of support from everyone across all departments. JH

Prep List: Fire Walk With Me and Lemonade should be made tomorrow. JH

Over/Short on Banks: Trees was under $193 due to payouts, but the end drawer had the correct amount ($107.00) when accounting for those payouts. 

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor in the morning. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
