Saturday 05.06 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: 2001: A Space Odyssey did really well in Th1, and Guardians, while not selling out every showing, kept Th1 & 2 busy for the rest of the day.  Mario continues to get a lot of day of ticket sales, which kept Th3 busy this morning. JH

All bars were consistently busy all day with tickets pouring all the way towards the end, but the last round eased up quite a bit and there was very light business at Trees during the dinner and last rounds. 

Miguel, Tevon, Ian, and Matthew took their bar quizzes today. I'll grade them tomorrow. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Andrea and Natasha were well prepared for service by the time doors open, and sailed through morning service.  Tashi helped Andrea restock and grab some glassware, and Tevon arrived in time to get Trees through a busy Guardians service push.  Natasha did some batching before getting out of here, and Andrea was cut once Miguel arrived for his pre-close. JH

FOH Staff Observations: Amazing support from the servers today. As usual Rebecca supports where she can. Great help from Maria as well. 

Hiring/Training: Interviewed Jeshua and Lydia today, and Edgar is scheduling their trails this Sunday and Monday. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: RIP Bar Cart.  Its legs buckled for the last time this morning before doors, so we will be taking it out of service and ordering a new one. JH

Prep List: Coffee and Cigarettes, Strawberry Lemonade, Neon Demon, and Groot Beer. EA

Over/Short on Banks: Lobby bar was short exactly $20 dollars. Unsure if it's from bad change given, or miscount at open. I let Jared know in case somewhere is 20 over. EA

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Stumptown is arriving on Tuesday. JH

Maintenance: Dio sent two guys in to work on the lowboy fan in Lobby that was causing us issues.  They were able to get the fan back in service, which should stem the condensation and noise issues temporarily, but it needs to be replaced.  Dio will be ordering the replacement on Monday, and it should hopefully arrive midweek and he will come out to install it.  

They were also able to clean all of the compressors on the lowboys behind the bars, once they wrapped up working on the fan. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
