Tuesday 1.07 Nick and Edgar



Manager Communication: Pretty quiet day all around until Trivia. Every table was filled by 7pm and even had some guests standing in to join us. I don't think i've seen it quite this packed, but it was manageable. 

Ran low on beer gas today, but NuCO came in and dropped off two back up tanks in case the machine doesn't get looked at tomorrow. I will call them first thing when i'm in to see if they will be stopping by. EA 

Customer Comments: Had a few guests that were not here for trivia unable to find seating since all the tables were brought down (and the rest were stuffed in the back of bar storage). Should we cycle those tables towards the front of the room and take from there for trivia going forward? That way we can keep seating upstairs for overflow and to maximize the room we have now that the pool table is up and running. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Miguel and Darius opened us up today and helped prep for Trivia. Gabrielle and Eliel were in to close with Maya as well for training. Maya stuck it out with Eliel downstairs and went through lobby close. Miguel swung upstairs and served the trivia floor while Darius and Gabrielle ran the bar. EA

Hiring/Training: Maya trained for lobby close today with Eliel and went over batching with them as well as ticketing policy. She's a great observer and picks up on protocol fairly quickly. I had Eliel fill out the binder. EA

Prep List: As far as I can tell, only a keg of old fashioned. I'll reassess tomorrow at open. EA

Maintenance: The LCD screen on the lobby coffee machine was cracked today when Eliel accidentally hit something against it. You can still technically brew coffee, but you have to go off muscle memory and if there's an error code, we won't be able to see it. 

I believe I found the replacement part. EA

Manager Communication: Wyatt and I opened up the building in preparation for a very busy "Do the Right Thing" - otherwise it was a very quiet.  We don't get the FOH blog, so Ian didn't know about the grease trap back up, which caused some confusion this morning. Vlad said he would get to the drain in theaters 1/2 another day since today was a literal washout.-LB I put signs up to tell people to not put bags on the top of the ice machines, not considering the language barrier of Markenson etc.  I went through it with him after he replaced the boxes because he is so thorough, I believe he understood what I meant. -LB Timothy needs to get a run down about wearing an ear piece, he left his walkie on the water station, didn't even realize it. Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper. Nick Friday 2/11

Manager Communication: Slow night at the bar, but The WOrst Person opened pretty big which was nice to see.  BAR Staff Observations: Everyone did great. Was able to get Jenn and Jo out earlyish.  FOH Staff Observations: Solid crew tonight, no issues on my end.  86ed / counts on items: Tecate Prep List : Should be all prepped up going in to tomorrow. We will probably need hot toddy at some point, but no urgency.  Over/Short on Banks: Lobby bar was $10 short.  Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Manhattan did not come in this week, so we did not get tecate or high life. Our rep is following up.
