Saturday 02.11 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: Opened really strong with Howl's Moving Castle nearly selling out Th2 and Being John Malkovich clearing fifty tickets.  The day definitely mellowed out after that initial service push, and the afternoon was pretty laidback. JH

Dinner was pretty mellow as mentioned above. Everything Everywhere did about 100 for dinner and Avatar sold out in TH6, but nothing else really took off for the dinner round. There was a decent crowd at Trees for most of the evening. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Ashley crushed a very busy service bar right when doors opened, and Natasha was a great support on garnishes down at Lobby.  Chelsea was unable to make it in (see Sick Leave/ Call outs), and Tevon was able to come in a little earlier for his midshift.  Tevon covered Trees while Ashley got us set for the evening with regards to batching. JH

Tevon floated between floors, but was ultimately cut a bit early after giving breaks since numbers weren't big enough to need him. Darius ran the lobby bar until close while Gabrielle and Ian worked Trees. EA

Sick Leave/ Call outs: Chelsea text me this morning asking if I could possibly push back her in time due to a really bad, light-sensitive headache.  Since sales tapered off in the lull between the first round special screenings and dinner rounds, I was able to just cut her shift. JH

Prep List: There is Horchata to be strained tomorrow. JH 

I didn't get a chance to check the bars, but at a cursory glance, we might need some michelada mix as well. EA

Pay Outs: $150.00 (Ariel & DJ) JH

Maintenance: The frozen machine for the fire walk side is fully operational again. I had time after the last round went in to take out the working motor from the unit inside bar storage and install it in the one at Trees. The machine that is fully stripped down in the storage (Right one) no longer has any working motors. The left machine has one motor that can be used as back up. EA

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
