Saturday 02.04 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: Busy start to a very cold morning, with the special events in Th1 &2 getting us off to a great start.  Ticket sales climbed throughout the day, and Trees had a pretty decently-sized afternoon crowd. JH

Dinner was steady as well. Dinner round was pretty busy. Everything Everywhere led the charge and decent turn out for Knock at the Cabin for late round. 

I changed the toner in the printer since it ran out last night. I'm not sure of how to dispose of the old one, so it's sitting in the office in its box. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Andrea and Natasha crushed brunch service as usual, and I was able to get Andrea out of here once Chelsea and Tevon arrived for their mid shifts.  Chelsea got some stocking done, and then Natasha got out of here shortly after. JH

Chelsea helped out through dinner and after a full stock in the lobby, she was out. Tevon stayed through all the dinner the first late round at Trees. After business levels slowed down and he helped reset the bar, he was also able to leave. Sean ran the rest of service in the lobby. Matthew and Ian took care of trees until the end. EA

Special Events? STB did really well in Th1, nearly selling out despite the cold temps this morning.  Drink service at Trees was relatively mellow, but plenty of STB cocktails went out, and we have plenty left for the next STB event. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:  For the bar staff meeting, continuing to hammer in to take a card for NPP until we get our new system. Weekly sidework is falling by the side, just a reminder to keep up with it and not letting things stack up. EA

Maintenance: Had to reset the Lobby hot water/coffee machine a little after doors, as it was displaying the error message about taking too long to refill.  Once I switched it back on it ran without any further issue during service, but this is the second time this week I have had to reset it. JH

Adding to this, the one at trees just randomly started brewing and and shooting out hot water according to Lillian then promptly stopped. 

The right tumbler in the frozen machine with Firewalk stopped rotating today. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but it seems like the rotating mechanism either gave out or seized because it was too cold. I would have to take it apart and look at it, but it's looking like we'll have to take apart the two good motors on the machines in bar storage and build one good one, with one extra rotating mechanism as a back up.  EA

Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
