Wednesday 01.17.23 Edgar/Eliel



Manager Communication: Hot water was back and feels hotter than before (obviously a good sign for our dishwashers). Slower start to the day which was great because it allowed me to catch up and run all the glassware through the washer before/at open to get them sanitized. 

The maintenance on the elevator was done around 3pm today and they just wanted to emphasize to not leave stacks of glassware in front of the doors by the elevator since their tools are in there. They will be back tomorrow. EA

Pretty good evening. Got some great pops and Trees had some dips but overall had a great crowd. EL

BAR Staff Observations: Chelsea was able to help me run the rest of the glassware that I couldn't get to before open and was great about unpacking and putting it back. Matthew was great about helping do some prep for himself in the lobby while committing to the weekly side work sheet to keep himself busy. EA

Chelsea batched and helped with the theater pops and the beginning of the Time Square party, then got out. Ian closed lobby in time to help Ashley with the folks leaving the engagement in theater 6. Ashley was a great at Trees. EL

Special Events? The Time Square crowd was great before, and they came out en mass for a raffle after, but that only lasted a while and dramatically thinned out within 30ish minutes. The engagement crowd came down after their movie. Nice crowds. EL

86ed / counts on items: Tecate & Michelada on a count. Please check the tecate to michelada ratio tomorrow, EL

Prep List: There was no more Milagro in house today, so we were limited on what we were able to prep. However, it should be coming tomorrow so we should make some Arbol Tequila when we can. EA
We started an horchata today. I'm sure we have enough Holy Mountains behind the bar to start the day but we'll need more tomorrow.  EL

Pay Outs: $100 to DJ.  I initially hit the wrong code when doing the payout and couldn't cancel it afterwards so I did a $100 pay in on the same wrong code to balance it out and then processed the DJ payout under the right code. EL

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: We didn't receive our Manhattan or Empire order today. So that should be expected tomorrow. I think the Ruby Hibiscus should be en route as well. EA

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
