Monday 1.23 Edgar



Manager Communication: Really cold and wet day. It set the pace for a quiet service with minimal walk ins. We were able to run with a really lean bar team and effectively made cuts relatively early. 

Wyatt and myself sat down with Jenna Brewer to give her review. The FOH Review sheet has been filled out and the review itself was scanned and sent in. EA

Vlad was able to deep clean the bar prep area including the walk in, liquor storage, and the main hall. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Super quiet day so I had Sean and Jenna do minimal prep to get us through the day and to start tomorrow. Other than that, I set them on their daily side work tasks since there was not much to do. They were cut after the closers came and settled in for the night. Lee ran the lobby bar with no issue while Miguel served trees. Both bars were manageable by a single bartender due to low sales. EA

Hiring/Training: Sent an email out to Lee regarding signing up for orientation on Jan 31st. 

Sick Leave/ Call outs: Jenn Hickey. Added to the calendar. 

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Miguel rang in a burger to go at Trees today. I will send a reminder in the weekly email that concessions are the only items that can be rang in to go. EA

Prep List: Just a keg of Old Fashioned that I'll get to tomorrow. EA

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor tomorrow morning.

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
