Manager Communication: Warmer weather brought in more sales than yesterday it seems with Trees seeing more business between films and 2nd and 3rd round filling in nicely. Black Panther and Puss in Boots did really well in smaller theaters. EA
BAR Staff Observations: Bar was well into service when I got there and everyone was in great spirits. A couple guest rushes hit Trees, but Tevon and Ashley were all over them while taking care of theater tickets as well. Ian commented on Matthew's close last night and noted how perfect it was. All in all the staff held it down all day. EA
Customer Observations: I took care of a couple Apple Pays today to help out the floor and have been noticing an increasing trend where even though we instruct the guests to fill in the tip and total when signing their check, they tend to only sign it and leave the other areas blank. Even when asked leading questions about their service, and despite the answers generally being positive, this seems to be the case nonetheless.
Is there a way we can create a failsafe so that servers aren't getting stiffed on their checks when it comes to apply pays? Maybe an auto gratuity could help. EA
Staff Meeting Agenda notes: I've noticed over the course of a couple of weeks that a lot of the bar staff tends to work with their heads down and it makes it harder to take multiple orders at once when they get rushed. In the next service email, i'll reiterate the importance of working with heads up to be able to queue their next guest not only mentally, but verbally as well so they feel seen. EA
86ed / counts on items: Meatball Sub.
Prep List: We kicked a keg of Spice, Spice, Baby, but we have two in line. I'll leave the empty as a wild card to prep for the next one that kicks. Both the old fashioned and Negroni were recently kicked and batched today. Otherwise we're looking really going into the weekend. EA
Maintenance: The third hopper on the slushie machine in the lobby bar is up and running again. EA
