Wednesday 11.30.22 Edgar/Eliel



Manager Communication: Chilly and quiet start to the day. Picked up a bit around dinner but mostly for the Newfest events. 

We were shorted one case of St. Germaine on our Empire delivery and it didn't click until we were batching that we needed it for both Dylar and Mystery Train. 

Nick, do you want me to notify you right away when this happens in the future? I take full responsibility for this L. EA

Customer Comments:

BAR Staff Observations: Slow start for the bar as it was a quiet day, Chelsea and Darius were able to prep garnish and and juice for the bars. The mood was a little negative today with Chelsea, Darius, and Gabrielle who all expressed their discontent with not being warned ahead of time that there was an event today. Darius mellowed out after a while, but Chelsea remained visibly and audibly displeased towards the beginning of the event and eventually got over it as well. 

Some of the main points of discontent include: 
-Not knowing ahead of time to mentally prepare. 

and

-That information wasn't disseminated beforehand regarding the change to the drinks names (I got cheat sheets to them as soon as Chenelle was done with the menus which was about 3hrs before event time)

I did explain to Chelsea that we had posted cheat sheets ahead of time and apologized to both her and Darius that this event was sprung on them "last minute," even though I told them the minute they walked in. However, I also explained the importance of arriving to work with the mindset of being ready to go as we know that the service industry can be unpredictable as a whole. They were receptive to the feedback I provided. EA

Everyone worked really hard and together to get through the busy event and regular theater service. Everything went pretty smooth. Everyone hustled. EL

FOH Staff Observations: The team working the party was wonderful. They all helped each other and the bar out for the entirety of the event.  EL


Special Events? Newfest X HBO screening of Gossip Girl + Private after party at Trees Lounge. EA

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:

86ed / counts on items: Low on St Germain as mentioned above. 86 Teelings. EA

Prep List: Horchata if Rice Milk comes in tomorrow and Mystery train if we are able to source St Germain. I believe Chelsea and Darius told me we were short one bottle of it. EA  
Negroni kicked late and we'll need a Michelada tomorrow. EL

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
