Manager Communication: Soft start today, but the dinner round brought a good amount of guests in and kept them in trees thereafter. Cold weather is here and the bar is happy to serve them. 

Are we allowing photos of IDs to suffice as proper identification. I had to turn away a guest from ordering an alcoholic beverage from the lobby because they only had a photo on their phone. It was just my instinct that took over and I politely told them that we needed a physical copy of their ID. 

Can someone clarify this policy as I've always only known it this way via various state ABC.  
It might be also we can reenforce with the staff as well as a courtesy reminder.  EA

BAR Staff Observations: Darius and Sean were both really good openers today.  Since Darius is an absolute rockstar, was finished setting up Lobby with a little over ten minutes until we opened doors, I sent him upstairs to check in on Sean and see if he needed any last minute assistance getting Trees set up.  

Darius said that he grabbed some citrus for Sean, and helped him finish setting up his caddies in the ice well, but overall Sean had hit every item on the opening checklist.  It was a big improvement from last week, and Sean is definitely settling into the ebbs and flows of service. JH

Lee and Sean held it down tonight in Trees. They were in constant communication and took turns leaving the bar to bus the floor and Mezz. Sean was able to stock Lee up before he left for the night and he was able to take it from there to close us out. Natasha took over the reigns downstairs in lobby after she got in and had Darius stock up before he was cut for the night. 

Natasha had a thorough close and Lee took care of Trees. EA

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Trees is set to Heat at 68 degrees, but that space is very large and it feels very chilly in there at that temperature.  Could we possibly raise it to 70 or 72 degrees on the schedule? JH

Lee has asked, and I forgot others have at various points, if we could order a small card file box for Trees to use when it gets busy. EA

86ed / counts on items: 86'd How's the Despair (Teelings). JH

Prep List: We cannot make anymore Heart-Shaped Herb until we get the Butterfly Pea Flower from Harney to infuse gin with. JH 

Infuse gin as soon as the tea gets in, Firewalk, Chai Espresso Martini. 

Pay Outs: $42.46 (Uber to bring two cases of tots and one bag of popcorn to Williamsburg) JH

Lost & Found?:

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Stumptown arrived a day early.  

Harney & Sons never arrived, even though I had called to confirm that it was out for delivery today.  I left a message with them, as their customer service center was closed, and will follow up tomorrow morning. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
