Manager Communication: Pretty good evening with Shouting at the screen having a nice Trees crowd. 

Customer Comments:

BAR Staff Observations: Chelsea and Ian had great opens, and got a lot of stocking and sidework done during the first round.  Once Andrea and Tevon arrived, business definitely began to pick up at both bars.  

Gerard printed menu inserts for Lobby Bar, which I left with Andrea, to be stuffed into Lobby menus once the first floor is routed. JH

Ian Batched, Chelsea left after the dinner round Banshees slowed down. Ian left after the Shouting rush slowed. 

FOH Staff Observations:


Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Saskia from NewFest was supposed to stop by today and pick up the remaining NewFest items in the Bar Storage Closet.  Around 1:30pm, they let me know that they would be unable to come by today and that they would try to come by tomorrow. 

Gerard walked me through the new wage forms that all staff need to sign in order to reflect the change in hourly pay for Staff Meetings ($15 -> $18).  The forms (both signed and unsigned) are in a manila folder in my mailbox.  Throughout the upcoming weekend, please have all bar staff sign a copy, and then return it to the manila folder.  Each bartenders' name is written on the front of the folder, so just cross out the name once the form is signed so that we can keep track of who still needs to sign.  One note, there are different forms for Bartenders and Lead Bartenders, so please be sure to offer the correct form.

Andrea, Chelsea, Eliel, Ian, and Tevon all signed their forms today. JH

Prep List: Pretty good going into the weekend.

Pay Outs: $100.00 (DJ) JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Big Geyser (Ginger Beer) tomorrow. JH

Maintenance: Victor from CleanSlate will be stopping by tomorrow to check the leaking line at the Trees glasswasher. 

The ice machine at Trees has been unable to make ice since yesterday, so when Ian arrived there was less than half a bucket of ice inside.  Ian grabbed ice from Lobby Bar, and I did a hard reset on the machine.  Currently, the machine will work for one cycle, produce one batch of ice, and then cease working.  I reached out to Dio and he said he will be in tomorrow at 9:30, so I will come in early to meet him.

Also, the Plex Server at Trees is still down, so the tvs only have the option play 'live tv' during service. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
