Monday 10.10 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: Pretty mellow morning for a Monday holiday, with decent pops of service spread throughout the building.  The first two round screenings of Lyle, Lyle did well, with lots of little kids seeing their first theater screening this morning, and The Woman King and Barbarian continue to hold strong in the smaller theaters. JH

Dinner saw a slowdown and I was able to get the openers out at a reasonable time. Other than that it was a smooth night. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Jenna and Gabrielle were well on their way to opening up the bars by the time I arrived, and were well prepared for doors.  Jenna kept pace with all of the Lyle, Lyle service pushes, and we never ran low of water cups.  Gabrielle navigated a very busy Lobby, and was prepared to answer guest questions about service, as well as direct any guests with strollers or scooters where they could park them for the duration of their screenings. JH

Darius and Lee took over for Gabrielle and Jenna and were more than capable to solo their bars after I decided to cut the openers. There was a little pop for Cabin in the Woods, but Lee took it in stride helping guests at the bar while I helped on service. 

All the Frozen machines were emptied and cleaned. EA

Over/Short on Banks:

Lost & Found?: Two separate guests returned after the first screening in Th1 to report that they believed they had left behind a child's wallet and a child's sweatshirt (grey with flowers), respectively.  Neither item was found after a quick search, and both guests were told to e-mail to follow up, if they did not find the items elsewhere. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 

Maintenance: New soap dispenser for Bar Prep arrived, and is waiting on the brunch lowboy to be installed on the wall.  Gerard put a note in the Maintenance Doc about it.  JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
