Monday 09.05 Jenn/Edgar



Manager Communication: Kids movies definitely led the way for the first half of today, but we felt prepared on the floors and behind the bars.  Some little pops of service here and there, but nothing too protracted. JH

Dinner wasn't too crazy either, I was able to get the openers out at a decent time after it felt like Chelsea and Lee could handle the crowds on their own. Starship Troopers brought in a decent crowd, but not many post film drinkers. EA

BAR Staff Observations: Stellar openings from Darius and Jenna this morning, especially since both bars were closed with great care last night, setting them both up for success.  I only ever had to hope behind the bar with Darius to help with the initial service push for the 2:30 Super-Pets, while he focused on bar guests.  Otherwise. both bartenders were great at communicating any service needs to myself and the other MODs.

Once Chelsea came in, I had her help both bars restock, and then she did some batching, after covering Jenna for a short break. JH

Lee continues to show improvement with colleagues and guests post performance review. He was in high spirits all day and never seemed to fall behind. His guest facing skills are great as he always tries to get film goers to come back after the film to take advantage of the discounted drinks. EA

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: There was some confusion about brunch this morning, with some servers inputting brunch tickets for kitchen once we opened.  This is was not caught until 12:45, at which time we ceased brunch service in kitchen as they were not staffed for it.  I remember going over this earlier in the week with management that we would only be doing brunch drink service, but apparently that note was not passed on to servers before open. JH

The freezer was frosted over again. Going to just touch base with staff about making sure it stays shut when not in use. EA

86ed / counts on items: Cold Brew (arriving Wednesday) and Orchid Blooms (out of stock since Thursday, will be arriving tomorrow morning). JH

Prep List: We should be good to go tomorrow, but might need to re-up on the Neon Demon and make more Arbol Tequila.

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
