Manager Communication:

 Busy service bar for dinner as Nope held strong numbers for dinner and then boosted up again for the final showing of the night., but also front facing Trees was consistently busy in between shows and I'd say for a good part of the evening. Felt like guests were looking for somewhere to escape the heat and chose to hang out with us. Gabrielle was great about coming upstairs to assist the dual rush. EA

BAR Staff Observations: 

Chelsea completed her Cocktail Quiz yesterday with Eliel, and Gabrielle completed hers today. JH

We had a math boo boo while Chelsea was batching but it was easily remedied by making two kegs of back up strawberry mansion instead of one. This resulted in no product lost and will pretty much keep us set all weekend. EA

FOH Staff Observations: Servers and Runners were really good about running racks of Glassware down to Trees in a timely manner. EA


Staff Meeting Agenda notes: It was brought to my attention at the server meeting today that there have been recent instances of Dirty Shirleys being put on the pass for tickets asking for a Shirley Temple. The drinks both print very differently on the tickets, so I think the issue is most likely people calling for a ‘Shirley’ and not being more specific.  All instances have been caught before the drinks ever reached a tray, but definitely something to keep an eye on during busier service rushes at the pass. JH


86ed / counts on items: 86 Casamigos. Saw it for a bit, not sure if we're going to carry it normally. EA

Prep List:

There is a batch of Seven Sorrows that needs Plum bitters. It was clearly notated by Chelsea. EA

We should probably make a bit more Lemonade tomorrow when lemon juice arrives. Otherwise we're good to start.  I think we also have a good amount of Haywood for tomorrow as there's some at the bars and about 8 liters in the walk in. Nope seemed to be slowing down a bit. EA

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor expected to arrive tomorrow. JH

Maintenance: The Lemonade side of the bubbler at Trees may have burned out its engine.  Ian noticed that it was no longer agitating the Lemonade, but that it was still refrigerated.  He cleaned them yesterday as part of the weekly cleaning, and said there was no issue last night.  Lemonade is in a store-n-pour for the time being. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH BAR Staff Observations:  Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day.  Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
