Manager Communication: Pretty busy night, with plenty of theaters selling out, or coming very close to it. Service was nonstop for the majority of the evening, with Trees only having to pause once during a Thor seating. Patio and Trees’ crowds were a bit more mellow than usual for a weekend night, with most guests doing one-and-dones. JH

Customer Comments: Had a guest in the last round Th3 screening of Top Gun send back a Root Beer Float because he said the vanilla ice cream tasted off. Daniel realized he had rang in a Peach Float by mistake, and rang in a Root Beer Float instead.

When I went to the server station to comp the initial float, I saw the returned float and it definitely had root beer in it. I tasted the ice cream, and it was peach sorbet. As the guest had such a jarring dining experience, I comped both floats off the check and told Daniel to pass on our apologies. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Absolutely phenomenal work this evening at both bars. Andrea and Chelsea left both bars set up for success for what was a very busy evening, with Chelsea getting a bunch of batching done before they were both cut just as the dinner rounds started

Gabrielle and Jenna held down a very busy Lobby all night, with me hopping behind the bar to help guests with tickets when the line got long and service got especially busy. Jenna was able to get out of here a little after 9:30, and Gabrielle held down a few sold out last round screenings on her own.

Ian, Natasha, and Tevon absolutely crushed at Trees. Service bar was nonstop all night, and there were never any issues with stocking or glassware.  Of particular note, Natasha is really great at running service bar and expo’ing.

Across both bars, bartenders were really mindful of stocking needs and topping up frozies, and were proactive about getting restocks done without any need for direction.  Both bars are well-stocked for open tomorrow. JH

FOH Staff Observations: Th1 and Th2 were really great about running glassware down to Trees when able. We were never in a pinch for glassware at any point, which really helped keep service smooth. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Jason wrote about the violent guest in the last round screening of Thor in Th1, and how essential Dwight was to de-escalation and getting her out of the building. With us getting busier, and larger crowds showing up to our more popular screenings, I believe it would be appropriate to discuss the possibility of having someone work Security every night. JH

86ed / counts on items: 86’d Two Robbers.

All in-house Michelada is stocked behind both bars until we get Maggi in. JH

Prep List: Ian made Fire Walk With Me, Lemonade, Neon Demon, an Old Fashioned keg, and Strawberry Lemon Slushie.

We ran out of Simple Syrup, so I made some more that will chill overnight and needs to be added to the marked Fire Walk With Me,  Lemonade, and Strawberry Lemon Slushie.

Bloody Mary is ready for tomorrow, but Bloody Mary Concentrate should be made tomorrow, too. Additionally, the remaining strawberries should be made into infused gin tomorrow before they spoil. JH

Maintenance: While closing, Gabrielle noticed that there was a large pool of water (it was brown in color, similar to the water pooling by the Trees lowboys) collecting to the left of the sinks and by the Th7 ice well (which had already been shut down).

We looked underneath with a flashlight, but could not find the source. I asked the porter to make sure he mopped under the sinks this evening. JH
