Manager Communication: Slightly slower than yesterday, with Dog Day doing alright and the Top Guns and dinner rounds picking up with some heavier business. Very minimal Trees crowd, a few patio tables, and just a couple of to go drinks. Service went great, especially given our strapped staffing due to some employee illness. JM

Similar vibes during dinner, with the same three films as yesterday selling well throughout the evening, leading into a pretty mellow close.  Patio definitely had some lingerers this evening, which was nice, and Top Gun brought a small post-movie crowd to Trees pretty consistently. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Big thanks to Chelsea and Dylan for opening today and staying for long shifts to help us through the overlap with the closers. They both worked long days solo behind respective bars and did an excellent job, calling for help when rarely needed. Eliel and Tevon came in at 5, jumped right in to service and stocking before their openers were done. Managed to break all team members as well with manager coverage. JM

Chelsea and Dylan were both able to get out of here before the final round began, which they were both grateful for after holding down both bars all day.  Eliel held down Lobby and Patio all evening, with Darius doing his first day of training behind the bar with him.  Tevon was great solo upstairs once Dylan was cut, and I was able to bring Darius up to Trees to help work service bar for the 8:30 Top Gun screening.

Hiring/Training: Andrea - Day 3 - A LOT more comfort and confidence today from Andrea, who handled theater rushes solo for the most part, only asking for guidance periodically and doing an excellent job remembering specs and working quickly. 

Darius - Day 1 - Darius is off to a really great start. He came in enthusiastic and focused, with lots of knowledge obviously from serving, that came through in how attentive and quick he was picking things up. JM

As mentioned above, Andrea completed her third day of training (next in on Tuesday) and Darius completed his first day of training.  Great work from both of them.  

Since Darius is already well acquainted with service at Nitehawk, I was able to have him work service bar with Tevon at Trees for the last Top Gun screening of the night, and he did great. JH

Prep List: Great prep this weekend had us robustly stocked today, just Michelada and Lemonade and Simply by Jenn needed to get through the night JM

I made Demerara and Simple Syrups. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor en route tomorrow JM

Mobilebytes Issues: The Bob's Burger and Men food specials do not have an Employee Food discount button. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
