Manager Communication: Steady day with very isolated periods of strong business. Dog Day Afternoon was a nice crowd that also gave the bar some business after the film, which also injected today's DJ Brunch with some nice energy. Good, steady patio and trees crowd during the day; nothing major but a nice clip of business. Theaters outside of Top Gun and the event were slow for opening rounds, so Jo was out in time and Dylan was off by 4 pm. No issues with speed of service. JM

Pretty chill for a Saturday evening.  Top Gun, Bob's Burgers, and Everything Everywhere had consistently well-sold or sold-out screenings from the third round onwards.  Top Gun continues to bring very steady drink tickets to Trees service bar during screenings, and the last round Top Gun had a fair amount of guests grab a drink at Trees afterwards, but the crowd tapered off a little after midnight. BAR Staff Observations: Big thanks to Jo for picking up the open today and to Chelsea for doing a long lobby shift and holding it down solo during dinner. Everyone was efficient, great opens from Jo and Dylan to set up the rest of the day. JM

Chelsea consistently held down Lobby Bar and Patio all evening, and I was able to get Jenna down there during some rushes to cover so that Chelsea could do restocks and take a break.  Gabrielle, Jenna, and Tevon were great upstairs this evening.  With Jenna focusing on service bar, Tevon primarily on guest service, and Gabrielle helpfully toggling in between based on need., the entire evening went very smoothly.

Gabrielle was able to get out of here once the last round's Top Gun had gotten through its initial service push, and Jenna got some batching done, and left Tevon set for an easy close.  JH

FOH Staff Observations: Good, efficient drink support on both floors for the opening rounds. JM

Th2 had some difficulty running drinks during their third round screening.  Once Th1's drink orders had slowed down, I noticed a Th2 tray had been lingering at the pass with some tickets being over ten minutes old, and more drinks still to tray at the pass.  I had the bar remake the sodas, due to dilution, and ran the tray to the theater.  

When I dropped it off, I let the servers know that they had more drinks waiting for them at service bar, and asked if they needed any help.  They assured me they were fine, and would be down shortly, but they did not return for the drinks.  Sarah happened to be by Trees, where I explained the situation and she brought the next tray up, with tickets nearing ten minute times, too.  Again, later in the same round, a solitary soda ticket waited just under ten minutes to be ran.  Each time myself or Sarah checked in with the servers, they seemed confident that they were not overwhelmed, so I am not sure what exactly caused the continued delay in drink running. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: This time of year, keeping frozens lower to freeze before opening and then adding cold product on top is the way to go. JM

There was consistent confusion this evening among some of the newer hires about bringing dirty glasses down to Trees.  It was never caught in the moment, but there were several times when dirty racks were placed in the wrong area.

I have seen training servers pretty consistently go over the process with regards to dirty glasses at Trees, so don't really know where the disconnect is coming from  Just something to keep an eye on, so that dirty glasses are not accidentally stocked behind the bar during our busier moments. 

Additionally, two trays of drinks were dropped this evening.  The first happened right outside the Th1 service station at the start of the third round Top Gun.  All drinks were immediately refired and sent back out with little delay.  However, since it occurred during the height of a busy service bar, I neglected to ring them up under a Spill Tab.  

The second tray was dropped at service bar at the top of the last round, and both drinks were added to the Spill Tab.  However, after each dropped tray, the mop that normally lives within the closet between the Trees bathroom was nowhere to be found, which caused a marked delay in clean up both times.  Eventually the mop was found, and returned to the closet. JH

Prep List: Made Firewalk, Straw Lem, Regular Lem, No Doors and Mansion. We will be running through what's left of the Paradiso as we are out of Denizen JM

Jenna made Espresso Martini and Old Fashioned kegs.  Chili Salt, Demerara Syrup, Lemonade, Michelada, Mr. Fusion, and Simple Syrup will need to be made tomorrow, but both bars are well stocked for open. JH

Pay Outs: $2.50 for Bananas, $150 for DJs JM

Mobilebytes Issues: Had an issue trying to apply a Staff Token and Employee Food discount to Kelsey's burger this evening, as the system will not allow us to double discount an individual item.  She also had a drink on her tab, and since she worked today that meant I could not apply the Employee Discount to the entire check.  

Once I realized that I could not apply both the Token and Food discount to the burger, I comped the item and then rang in an Open Food charge in the amount the correctly-discounted burger would have been.

I made sure to label the ticket clearly, with regards to the Open Food charge and comped burger.  Don't know if we want to open up food items to double discounts, but figured we should probably land on a blanket solution for consistency going forward. JH
