Jenn 06.27

Manager Communication: Incredibly busy day, with the all first round screenings being very sold for a Monday, and Theaters 1, 2, and 5 also having well-sold second rounds, too.  Hellraiser brought in a great crowd, that settled in at Trees both before and after the screening.

Both bars pretty much had nonstop tickets at service bar from 5:00 to 10:00.  Staff definitely felt stretched across the building, but everyone was on it throughout the night, and service moved at a steady clip.

BAR Staff Observations: Jenna and Tevon really rocked it tonight, each one working their bar solo all evening.  Ashley had put her shift up late yesterday afternoon, and called Jesse this afternoon to say she was very tired (this would have been her sixth scheduled day in a row) and did not think she could work her Lobby shift.  Jenna agreed to work Ashley's Lobby shift instead of closing Trees, so Ashley was able to stay home.

Unfortunately, being down a bartender really impacted both bars, and I ended up spending more time behind the bars than on the floor tonight during the busier service pushes.  As mentioned above, service was pretty much nonstop from 5:00 to 10:00, and I spent the majority of that time at Trees service bar, so that Tevon could focus on guests.

Overall, service at both bars was great throughout the evening, and guests were really happy with bar service.  Jenna has really settled into maintaining focus and juggling priorities in Lobby (and made trips to the Patio much more frequently this evening), and Tevon is fantastic at serving guests at a packed Trees, while maintaining a clean floor and bar.

No citrus was juiced or cut today, so that is something to make sure openers get on top of right away tomorrow.  Both bartenders did a hefty restock at the end of the night, so openers should be pretty set on product and batches for open.

FOH Staff Observations: Great work on all floors this evening, at least from my vantage point behind the bars.  We never had to pause service, and drinks were rang in consistently and correctly throughout the night.

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Jenna mentioned that the last two nights she has had to go out and ask multiple guests to not smoke on the patio.  Could we get some signage out there, or maybe in the window between the two mics?

86ed / counts on items: 86'd Auguste Orange and Ruby Hibiscus Water.

Prep List: I made Dirty Shirley, Lemonade, Mr. Fusion, and Neon Demon.

Graceland, Honey Syrup, Michelada, and Tea-Rex (if we are keeping the special through the weekend) should be made tomorrow.

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Other Half.

Maintenance: When Tevon turned on the Fire Walk With Me frozen machines at Trees while opening, they began to emit a loud screeching whine.  They were rotating without issue, and the sound continued whether or not they were rotating  He emptied them, re-cleaned them, and re-applied lubricant, but they continued to make the sound.

The frozen machine at Trees was put back together, but remained empty throughout the night.  We pulled Fire Walk With Me from Lobby all evening, as the opening round had a fairly-sold Lightyear, and we did not want to lose the Strawberry Lemon Slushie at Trees for that seating.  After that, the evening was just too busy to swap frozens between machines.
