Manager Communication: Pretty busy morning and afternoon. Nice crowd at trees after about 2pm. EL

Very busy dinner rounds, pretty much nonstop at Trees service bar from six to nine, along with a sizeable Trees crowd. JH

Customer Comments: Gave a couple of guests credits EL

Around ten, I came to Trees and saw a guest shouting at Ashley and asking for a manager.  I approached, and asked how I could help, while Ashley returned to theater service.  The guest said that Ashley had roughly grabbed money from him when he was paying, and that he wanted to speak to a manager.  I reiterated that I was a manager, and he continued to ask, several more times, if I was actually a manager.  

At this point he was shouting and asked for Ashley's name, and I told him I was not comfortable giving him that information.  He then asked for both of our names, and I repeated that his manner was making me uncomfortable and that I would not be sharing either of our names.  He then took out his phone and filmed both myself and Ashley, continuing to shout that we would not tell him our names.  His friend, who had been pretty quiet throughout, ushered him away from the bar and they left Trees.

I touched base with Ashley, and she said the guest was upset that we did not have Heineken or Tecate, but that she did not think she had grabbed the money any differently than she would have any other guest's.  When she gave him his change he called her an 'angry bitch' and she told him she would not serve him anything further, which was when I arrived at Trees.

While I was talking to Ashley, Tevon called for an MOD for assistance with a guest at Lobby Bar.  When I went downstairs, I saw that it was the same guest from Trees, and asked for Gerard to speak with him.  Gerard will go into more detail in the Manager Blog. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Chelsea and Jenna had excellent opens at Trees and Lobby. Ian was Trees mid. They worked hard. EL

Chelsea and Jenna were both very helpful and stayed on until just about six, after all closers where in and everyone had eaten family meal.  Tevon crushed a very busy dinner round in Lobby solo, and I was able to have Ian cover Lobby so that Tevon could complete a midshift restock as the fourth round began.

Ian and Ashley were great up at Trees, handling an incredibly busy service bar for a sizeable chunk of the evening.  Ian did some batching before heading out a little after ten. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Could we get a squeegee mop/broom for Trees?  They're very helpful in minimizing standing water around the Trees glasswasher during service. 

Additionally, I’ve been cleaning the sinks and drains in the bar prep area with Sani and hot water each evening when closing. Just another area to keep an eye on as we keep a watch for fruit flies in the warmer weather. JH

All in-house Miller High Life is stocked behind both bars, and all remaining Danger Zone (just about a quart) is at Trees. JH

Prep List: I made Lemonade, Firewalk, Pineapple ginger syrup and began arbol tequila EL

Ian made Lemonade, Mr. Fusion, Tea Rex, and a keg of Strawberry Mansion (needs to be charged tomorrow).

Demerara, Hazelnut, and Simple Syrups should be made tomorrow. Danger Zone will need to be made once Creme de Violette arrives. JH
