Manager Communication: Slower start to the day today, with a brunch that never really grew from initial sales. Got busier as the AM service went on, but honestly not by much and it was a very laid back service compared with the rest of the past two weekends. Got lots of prep and consolidation and stocking done behind the bars to set up for PM and dust off the busy weekend. JM

Similar vibes in the evening, with a decent dinner round.  It definitely tapered off by the time the last round screenings began, with Trees having a few pops of guests during the evening that naturally dwindled by eleven.  JH

Customer Comments: We had a rude guest in Th3, also in the MOD blog. He was demanding that the temperature be turned up, peppered in some nasty language when complaining to both Natasha and Kaya. He ended up not saying anything else for the rest of the film, but Gerard and I chose to let it go unless he made another comment to not create a scene in the middle of the theater. JM

Manager Blog will go into more detail, but we had a group of noisy guests in the last round screening of The Northman in Th4.  When I dropped their check early, I warned them that if there was one more complaint they would be asked to leave.  There were no further issues.

Three members of the group (out of four) had three rounds at Trees before sitting for the movie, but neither Ashley nor Ryan felt that any of them needed to be cut off while at the bar. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Great brunch opens by Jenna and Natasha. They were really excellent at stocking and preparing, and Natasha was able to be cut early in a slow lobby and consolidated and pulled brunch product and stocked the bars before she left. Easy medium sold Dr. Strange pushes handled by Jenna and Ryan with no issues. JM

Jenna was able to get cut right after Ashley came in and everyone grabbed family meal.  Ian did some batching, and both he and Ryan were able to leave just as the last round screenings began seating.  Ashley and Jo held down both bars after mids were cut, and closed without issue.  JH

Hiring/Training: Had Heiner trail today, he did a great job and very enthusiastic about moving forward, so I have him training this week. JM

Prep List: Made more Firewalk, brought Rhubarb bitters and charged the Mansion keg (which we had to use immediately), used the rest of the Granja to make Mr. Fusion. Going forward, we will use Montelobos for the cocktail until we run through that as well. JM

Ian made Arbol Tequila, Lemonade, and an Old Fashioned keg. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Just a quick note for bar team, as we have been batching more on the weekends to keep product levels up.  There has been a tendency to not put new batches to the back in order to FIFO, resulting in newer batches being brought to the bar before older ones.  Just something to keep an eye on, as stocking and batching needs will probably remain high throughout the warmer months. 

Additionally, we have had a couple instances this last week where guests in last round screenings need to use Apple Pay after we have closed Filmbot.  We've been just reopening it to process the payment and then reclosing it.  Should we hold off on closing Filmbot until the final check drops going forward, or continue on as we have been? JH

Pay Outs: $7 to Kitchen for bananas, $54 to FOH for index cards, $80 to me for soda cans I bought for film feast JM

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Expecting Baldor, US Foods and Ojo de Tigre tomorrow JM

Maintenance: The coffee machine was showing an error message during the dinner round.  Jesse ordered new filters, which should be in by Tuesday.  I'll reach out to openers tomorrow to let them know hot water and coffee will need to pulled from Lobby Bar. 

Additionally, starting at around 8, the bubbler holding the Bar with No Door at Lobby stopped working.  Turning it off and restarting it was enough to get it working again, but that stopped working around ten.  Jo emptied that side of the bubbler, cleaned it, and left it filled with water overnight. The bubbler appeared to be working again, and will be something to check on tomorrow. JH

Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
