Jesse/Jenn 05.20

Manager Communication: Fairly quiet first round, with ticket sales picking up for the later two rounds.  The fog and rain kept Patio pretty sedate this evening, but Trees had a fairly steady crowd of guests waiting to see a movie from six until tennish.  Not too much of a late night crowd, as most guests skipped the bar after their movies let out.

BAR Staff Observations: Jo and Ryan did a great job opening both bars, helped along by Jesse doing a lot of batching and prepping before open.  Eliel and Gabrielle both came in to close, and service ran pretty smoothly all night. Jo and Ryan both stayed until each bar was through most of the initial service pushes from theaters for the last round.

Even on a more mellow than usual Friday, Trees definitely felt the missing bartender, as we ran service with only an opener and closer on each floor.  However, service, both guest-facing and theaters, was not negatively impacted, it was felt more in toggling between stations and timing restocks and refills.

Unfortunately, around ten, Ryan began to feel very faint and overheated.  I had him sit down and drink some water, and I hopped into service with Gabrielle to get through Th2's third round seating.  Once he had the chance to sit for a while and the dizziness had subsided, I had him clock out and head on home.  I told him to reach out to me tomorrow morning if he does not feel any better.

FOH Staff Observation: Both Danny and Lauren were training today (Justin and Jasmine, respectively), and they both did such a good job.  Any time either were near a bar, they were just phenomenal at explaining the ins and outs of service, particularly as it related to drink service.

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Trees was very hot this evening, especially compared to the rest of the building.  The thermostats at Mezz and the bar were both set to cool, and I set them to lower temps on a hold, but the space never dropped lower than 72 degrees all night.

The weather is still back and forth with regards to temperature, and I'm sure the drizzle and fog this evening did not do us any favors.  Just wanted to make a note of it, as I remember the thermostat at Trees had to get serviced earlier this week and I do not know if that is contributing, too.

Prep List: Jesse batched a bunch before we opened today, so nobody had to batch anything during service and we look great heading into brunch tomorrow.

Maintenance: The water filters at Trees were replaced, so hot water service has returned upstairs.
