Eliel/Jenn 05.08

Manager Communication: Nice busy but not overwhelming first round and then the day ramped up.  Pretty busy afternoon. EL

Theaters and both bars stayed busy throughout the evening, with Trees having a great crowd up until about 10:30.  The service pushes were consistent at Trees, led by the Dr. Strange seatings, but bartenders have definitely adapted to the flow of service this past weeekend and hit well-timed restocks during the expected service lulls.  Lobby was similarly kept busy into the final round. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Chelsea and Natasha had great opens.  Ian was a great mid, starting at Trees, moving to Lobby, and batching, and Ryan and Natasha handled Trees. EL

Another really great night behind the bar, with bartenders really stepping up and helping where needed.

Natasha and Chelsea stayed on until all closers were in, everyone had family meal, and the initial third round service pushes were over.  Ian and Tevon handled Lobby Bar all night with some sold out screenings, and Ian was able to get out around 10:30.  Jenna and Ryan were great at Trees, rotating between service bar and guest service throughout the evening.

Unfortunately, around 8:30, Jenna began to feel very ill and nauseous, and by 10:30 was so sick that I made the decision to send her home.  I communicated the situation to Ryan and Tevon, and the three of us split up tasks closing Trees, with Ryan pulling a particularly long shift today due to that.  I asked Jenna to let me know how she is feeling in the morning, as she is currently scheduled to close Trees. JH

FOH Staff Observation: Glass racks were run down to Trees very consistently this evening, which kept Trees well stocked with glassware throughout the night. JH

86ed / counts on items: 86'd Dona Spice Soda. JH

Prep List: Ian made Firewalk, Lemonade, Strawberry Slushie, Espresso Martini, Cinema Paradiso.  I made Simple, Hazelnut and started arbol tequila. EL

Eliel made a Negroni keg, and Ian was able to finish off the Cinema Paradiso once the Hazelnut Syrup cooled.  A Strawberry Mansion keg will need to be made and charged tomorrow. JH

Over/Short on Banks: Trees was short $8, I informed Sarah. JH

Maintenance: When hooking up a new Strawberry Mansion keg this evening, it initially would not flow through the tap.  Myself and Ian detached and reattached the lines several times, but the out line kept sticking weirdly and not attaching like usual.  I wiped down the nozzle with a warm rag to clear anything that may have been keeping it from fastening tightly, and that seemed to fix the issue.  Just something to keep an eye on. JH
