Manager Communication: Pretty busy Saturday morning, with plenty of high-sold screenings on all floors each round. Trees was pretty quiet, with a few couples stopping in either right before or after a movie, but picked up around five o’ clock. Patio expansion was appreciated, and we definitely had more guests out there than previous weekends. JH

Lots of family movies stacked up for the mid round today, so things were busy but highly manageable during those NA heavy and low drinking rushes. Then the dinner round and late rounds rolled in and the bars filled, the rushes got extremely heavy and remained consistently busy throughout runtimes. Everything Everywhere and Massive Talent both seem to bring out the party in our guests, as drink rushes are certainly more pronounced at the beginning but they continue at a very steady clip throughout the movie. These stacked up, making for a nearly two hour straight heavy rush to service bar from 7-9. Major credit to the bar team again tonight; no 86s, no need to rush to the back for backup or flash cut garnishes. No need for managerial support behind the bar for said rushes. Good service. JM

BAR Staff Observations: Chelsea and Natasha opened both bars, no problem. Really excellent communication and stocking this morning, as both bars had great first and second round service pushes.

Tevon and Jenna were mids, with Jenna helping both bars with their restocks while Tevon and Chelsea worked a sold out Everything Everywhere rush. Chelsea was able to batch a bunch of stuff in between seatings, and bar never had to 86 any product. JH

Ryan, Tevon and Ian are in a great flow on these Saturday nights. They naturally position themselves in their areas of strength now after working this many similarly busy Saturdays together; Tevon takes guests and glassware, Ryan taken beer tower and Ian takes service. They have it down seamlessly. Also important to note with so many movies stacked up, lobby bar had its busiest day in a long time and Gabrielle and Jenna did a very good job handling those rushes, keeping an eye on patio and radio-ing when they needed ticket support so they could focus on drinks.

Ian batched an Old Fashioned, Simple Syrup, Strawberry Gin and Mansion Keg. Gabrielle cut garnishes before she left to prep for brunch. JM

FOH Staff Observations: The second round Th1 screening of Everything Everywhere got a little backed up during the initial drink rush. Fortunately, Katarina was proactive about it and communicated the back up to Trees quickly, which was a huge help.

We paused service at the bar to allow the already-made drinks to be delivered, resuming service shortly after. Wyatt and Nathaniel were also really great at communicating and delegating Th1 service during the push. JH

Dinner round was really excellent tonight, with no pauses to service and plenty of support. Only a few times did things get hairy during the late round, when Unbearable Weight's seemingly endless drink rush hit at the same time as an Everything Everywhere sold out screening. Servers got a little thin on support between three floors of sold to nearly sold out theaters, but a few trays run by MODs and a pause in service here and there with communication got us through it no problem. Overall, major improvements the past week with drink running and glassware rotation. JM

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Again, great communication between servers and the service bars today. Really helped a surprisingly busy morning service fly by with no issues. JH

Prep List: Chelsea made Mr. Fusion, Lemonade, Fire Walk With Me, and Verse Jump.

I made Hibiscus Syrup and Cinema Paradiso. I started the Lemon Black Tea Syrup, which will need to be strained tomorrow. JH

Ian made a Strawberry Mansion keg that will need to have Simple added tomorrow (it was still cooling, couldn't batch until late tonight) and then charged. Otherwise, very healthy amounts of product. JM

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor (Saratoga Still & Sparkling, Strawberries, and Dried Hibiscus). JH

Maintenance: The exterminator did a quick walkthrough today, and brought my attention to some lingering standing water and mess under the sinks at Lobby Bar. Just something to keep an eye on to make sure porters are getting under the sinks and around the drains when mopping at close. JH
