Jenn/Jesse 4.2

Manager Communication: Opening round was fairly easygoing, with the Prisoner of Azkaban screening drawing the largest crowd. Lobby had a pretty busy second round, led by Batman, while Trees was a bit more mellow due to low sales for Morbius.

Trees had a small crowd starting at around one, which steadily grew throughout the day. JH

Same vibe to the PM service today, it was a real back and forth. We'd get extremely busy at both service and Trees surrounding Everything Everywhere Screenings but splitting 1 & 2 with Morbius made it feel more mellow than our past few weekends. Good service though, new drinks are going out great and getting very good feedback. Was able to Cut Jo at 9 pm, Ashley at 9:15 pm and roll through the rest of service no problem. Trees had a good crowd through 10 pm then emptied out. JM

BAR Staff Observations: Ian and Chelsea did great opening both bars and adapting to the new menu. Ian was able to get juicing out of the way for Trees early on in the day, which was helpful. I was able to get Chelsea a break around 3:15pm, and Ian was out of here before four.

Jo mistakenly came in at 9:30am, as she had not checked Schedulefly and assumed she was opening. Once she clocked in for her mid shift, her and Ian held down Lobby no problem. As noted in previous, it’s really helpful having a Lead scheduled for Lobby Bar.

Ashley was a little delayed due to train issues, but communicated that to me in advance. It did not negatively impact service at Trees at all, and she jumped right in and helped Chelsea get through a seating and a decently-sized afternoon Trees crowd.

Throughout the day, I touched base with everyone who did not work last night in order to go over garnish updates. Something to keep an eye on for the next few shifts just to make sure all drinks are going out with consistent preparation.

Additionally, Gil was very helpful in turning on the frozen machines at both bars this morning when he came in, so all frozens were ready for service by the time doors opened.  JH

Great staff on tonight, Ryan had missed the meeting so I took him through the drinks and he had no issue getting into the swing for service. New menu is great to execute.

Chelsea batched kegs before she left. Ashley batched Firewalk and Paradiso. Both are adapting really well to keeping an eye on product and being proactive. No issues tonight. JM

FOH Staff Observations: We are pretty tight on grey glass racks in the building, and ran into an issue during the flip into third round with servers being unable to find any empty grey glass racks in the building. This was not communicated to bar until servers had to start putting glasses in the brown water cup racks.

Going forward, it would be very helpful if servers could communicate their glass rack needs before they have run out, as it was slightly disruptive to bar service.   Since servers often do not bring full glass racks down to Trees until during the flip, it can take a while for Trees to catch up on cleaning and restocking the glassware. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: The ice fridge at Trees was left ajar last night, so Chelsea had to toss all of the ice while opening. As it is set back in the dry dock, it can oftentimes look closed when it’s not. Just something to add to the bar email this week to make sure Trees closers double check it is closed before clocking out. JH

Got some guests that walked in to the theater with Trees cocktails that ordered them from their seat and they got rung in. Something to remind about.

We are putting some Ice Trays in the walk in freezer tonight to make sure they freeze and we get a good amount up there as most melted partially overnight. JM

86ed / counts on items: 86’d Hamilton Black Rum and Dona Spice Soda. JH

Prep List: Chelsea made Verse Jump, a keg of Old Fashioned, and a keg of Strawberry Mansion. I made Cinema Paradiso, Strawberry Gin, Arbol Tequila, and Hazelnut, Pineapple Ginger, Simple, and Vanilla Simple Syrups.

Bloody Mary will need to be made tomorrow morning.  JH

We will also need Porn Star and Lemonade tomorrow. JM

Pay Outs: $3.00 for a rose for Barry Lyndon garnish. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: (strawberries and strawberry purée). JH

Mobilebytes Issues: Hearing a lot of feedback from servers and bartenders that they would like the BTG wines and cinema specials back on the speed screen. Worth considering.
